Hi there, I have managed to pick myself up a 2nd hand hpi vorza flux, I havent bought it yet so would appreciate your honest thoughts... It's just over 1 year old and in pull working order, just wondering what you think? Would like to show you the pics? Is there a way to email them to you?
Again thanks for the info! I am a boarder line stalker but I appreciate the feedback! Now all I need to do is purchase either a hpi trophy flux or a vorza, though very expensive for what I need it for!
HPI Plazma 11.1V 3800mAh 30C Lipo Rectangular Case Stick Pack Re-Chargeable Batter, Deans Plug & JST-XH Balance Lead
The range of HPI Plazma batteries is designed to be the ideal match for all kits that require a long-lasting, reliable battery pack featuring reliable lithium-polymer (LiPo) cell technology.
These LiPo battery packs are ideal for kits that demand loads of power, and is a perfect fit for the Savage Flux HP!

Brand new from HPI is the Plazma 3800mAh 11.1v LiPo pack. Features like a hard case, factory fitted Deans connector 30C discharge rate and a JST-XH balance leads
And than there is another factor that indicates the performance of a battery i.e. how much Amps the battery can provide. The battries my son uses are 20C, so they can provide 20x 5000Mah = 100A without being damaged.
The higher C rate, the more power the battery can give.
Same applies to the charge rate 1C will mean in our case the battery can be charged at 1x it's capacity, so 5000Mah, wich means it will be charged in about one hour. A battery that can be charged with a 5C rate can be charges 5 times as fast (provided you have a charger that can provide such charge rates...)
Thanks for the videos to date, was toying with the idea of a nitro trophy but after seeing the brushless version my mind is made up!!! How long do you get from a full charge?
Yeah, can't beat the Nitro sound (and smell...), but other than that we prefer the no hassle, instant power, of the brushless system (and the fact that you do no longer have grease all over the place ;-) ).
Sent , cheers!

It's a lot of money, but it is good quality and the performance is awesome!
I wish you a lot of wisdom on your choice ;-)

Seems I am having issues choosing a battery even before I have bought the car!!! What do you think of the battery (see below)
Sorry for all the questions, but it's very helpful

Thanks again for taking the time to reply. This had really helped! Thumbs up for you...

@Sharpnersharpy
Probably a good battery, nice C rate, but only 3800Mah, which means less driving time.
Try to go for the highest capacity and C rate you can buy.
We use the Turnigy 2S 20C 5000Mah hardcase batteries, purchased at Hobby King. They do a very nice job and they don't brake the bank ;-)

Thanks for replying, looks a solid car which is what I am after! Still not sure what 3S means lol, thanks again

@Sharpnersharpy
With Lipo batteries the number of individual cells are indicated / counted.
One Lipo cell (1S) provides 3,7V.
So a 2 cell Lipo provides 7,4V etc. For a 2 cell Lipo one says it's a 2S, a 3 cell 3S etc.
This car runs on 2x 2S, or a total of 4S i.e. 14,8V
Hope this explains ;-)
Next question will be the C rate ;-)
C rate indicates Capacity. i.e. 5000Mah.

@Sharpnersharpy
I'd say about 15 minutes on average.
If my son drives together with his Nitro powered pall he's always waiting for his pall to have his car setup / running...
My son has 3 battery sets and a charger that can charge 4 batteries at the same time, so he can continue driving as long as he likes!

Highest speed measured in standard setup with 4S1P 5000Mah 20C Turnigy Lipos is 65Kmh. And these are real Kmh!

I guess. So, how fast is it?

Haven't radared it yet, but I've got a speed gun now, just waiting for new tires to arrive...
