Was the horn I'm hearing the retired Queen Elizabeth 2? I was hearing a low hum that was low of E2's horn "notes". All three are the ships of the 2th and 21st centuries which are beautiful.
I know we missed that spot Nonniegirl. Wish we could've been up where this person was. Great job on the video. I reall enjoyed it. Too bad I can't put this rating as 5 stars, it deserves more than that.
Thank you so much for posting this. A good friend of mine is sailing around the world on one of the ships. Wonderful to see this glorious send off for his fabulous trip.
GORGEOUS, really well done, i live near venice and i had occasion to see victoria from the street while i was driving to the laguna. i'm proud she's an italian queen!!!,please have alook at mi video i've done with cam captures and leave a comment!!!
I was on a USCG cutter watching and it was great! The best part was watching the lighted ships disapear under the Varazano bridge into the dark ocean.
AWESOME VIDEO! This has to be one of the best I have seen covering this event. THANK YOU!!! I am in Los Angles and was dying to be there. I did get web cam shots of the 3 Queens as each passed the Statue of Liberty, but this gives me a real feeling of 'almost' being there! THANK YOU and GREAT JOB!
Are you going to see the new QV when she visits Los Angeles later this month? We're flying out from the UK to meet her there and sail to Sydney. What's the weather like there at the mo? (I'm starting to pack my suitcases!)
It is in the high 70's F. Very nice warm spring-like weather. Yes I am going to be coming down! Absolutely! I visit everytime the QE2 comes in. Sailed in from Chile on the QM2 in '04. Weather may turn, but it is never COLD here. Only chilly. Comparatively. Enjoy! I'll wave you away!
Thank you very much! It must have been really amazing seeing those great ships together for the first (and I asume) the last time. Pity about the chaotic camera movements though.
Thanks. I was there. I am experiencing the event all over again minus the cold rain. I wonder why Cunard didn't have the QE2 lead her younger sisters out to sea.
Great footage, My sister is a medical officer on the QE2 at the moment (Nov 07 - March 08), so it is great to see what spectacular events she is experiencing whilst she is working on the ship. Thanks so much!!
Thanks a lot for this video. I was looking everywhere in order to find a video on this but only found some pictures. I am really jealous because it must have been fantastic! This will never happen again!!!
Thank you soooo much for sharing this video - I looked on all the UK/US news channels last night & couldn't find any coverage of the three Cunard Queens sailing out of NY harbour. What a fabulous sight it must have been! Thanx for making my day!
I know, it really sucked that NO news stations were covering this. And it what was worse that the webcams on Cunard's website were too busy. But I'm soooo happy to finally get so them toghether! :)
AMAZING............!!!!!
