How can you beat this for "spontaneous" county music. I think Keith Whitely would have been considered the best of the best had he been given more time -- his star was just starting to shine when he left us. Hard to imagine three voices better than these?
that Curly Ray Cline blows my socks off ! I'm a clappin' just like the lady at 2:11.... though she's better lookin'. That keith whitley - his singing makes me swoon, I'll admit it. Never seen him so good looking as this 1977 footage. I want to pull a Minnie Pearl right now and step up on the stage to get his phone number.
Thank you for posting this KeithWhitleyFan, I love this song, I had always heard that Keith did it with Ralph but had never heard it until now, exceeds my expectations !!
Keith Whitley and Ricky Skaggs would come up to West Liberty Ky and play (1960's), I never got to see them ): wish I had. This is a great video for sure, 5*****
Correct me if I´m wrong, but -isn´t that Ricky Lee on lead guitar ?

This IS rare! That was an excellent trio- Jack Cook loved that combination with he and Ralph above Keith.

This is a perfect example of what I call
Clinch Mountain Country.
It may be Bluegrass, but with the Clinch
Valley spin on it. This is really good...
