@Mistercharming It's set around 2025. Japanese continuity goes like this:
G1 season 1 (1984) → G1 season 2 (1985) → TF:TM (2005) → G1 season 3 (2010) → Headmasters (2011) → Masterforce (~2020-ish?) → Victory (2025).
Wheeljack being alive is an error caused by TF:TM not being released in Japan until after Victory aired. The Binaltech story tries some interesting maneuvers to work around the problem, but it also winds up undoing its own cleverness.
@CompanyLagoon Binaltech was split into its own continuity by Optimus Primal, restoring the original timeline in the corrupted original cartoon continuity.
Wait a minute,how is Wheeljack there?I don't understand...First off,he DIED in the 1986 movie,even though maybe the japanese didn't have tthe movie?And then,after all,this series is like...How many years after G1 again?
@PoPfan108SW The movie didn't arrive in Japan until after Victory, which aired in 1989 (it's pretty much one series per year from season 1 in 1984 to Victory in 89).
It suck's that Ginrai dies but i dont get why he didnt use Chōkon Power in his fite against Deszaras. I know he cant use Jinchōkon because he doesnt have his human partner anymore but what's stoping him from using Chichōkon and Tenchōkon?
@jazz265 Storytelling, the desire to remove the Optimus Prime-lookalike anomaly, and the Transformers Rule of Ultimate Weapon Decay, in which each new character's "ultimateness" is eroded as the next ultimate character (ie: toy) approaches. By the time Headmasters rocks around, it's "Predaking-who?" and by the end of Energon it's "the Prime Force-what?". And Victory is really all about how wonderful Star Saber is.
looks like a young Predaking. lol!

@AeonMagnus ok but it gonna bug me. is there any reason why he cant use Chichōkon and Tenchōkon?
jazz265 1 year ago
@jazz265 Probably not. Victory just doesn't care about those things.
