My biggest fear is having a woman with too much liptstick tell me how to write without ever showing any signs of being actually passionate about the subject. In my dreams, she continues to give me advice that in no way helps me in my writing but she never stops talking and she forces me to write my novels and books by pen and not with a computer as every sane human being would do these days. She never smiles, she never stops - would that be a good idea for a novel?
@oathkeeper2310 You'd have to do some brainstorming, draw out a web with ideas what gives your ideas emphasis and then slowly daydream the plot. Everyone has their own ways to develop a story.
I feel the best way to write a good Horror story is to just sit down and have a basic idea and go! I wrote a 56,000 word story that came from a downward spiral of mine and after many nightmares about the same thing, just woke up one morning and went with it. I also have other work completed,as I am trying to make it my job so I can ditch my sucky one.I figure a few novels...novellas...and hundreds of short stories should get me going...I just have to get it in the right hands.
"Dracula" is "a couple of hundred years old"?!? Is was written in 1897, cookie, do the math!
