I've always wondered, and only cos I've seen this in movies so I doubt it works in real life, but when the gun is empty the slide locks back. When you put the new mag in, you press something to let it lock forward and instantly chamber the first round. How is that done? I'd try and find out but being British our government has a hard on for gun control.

You start introducing new calibers, and that's where problems happen.
@zchris87v I personally have all three guns and many more because my dad is a former range and the fact that I am a competitive shooter. Oddly I am more accurate with a kimber .45 at close range then my beretta m9 and 1911. My favorite out of all three is the m9 mainly because I can shoot accuratley from far distances and i don't have to take that much time aiming. I can usualy shoot an entire clip without taking the time to realign my sights on the target after the first shit.
oh and i dont know if this matters to you people, but the .45 was once considered the best handgun ever made. it has everything i or any other person like me needs. its got stopping power, accuracy, and its just an overall awesome gun. While I agree that .45 ACP has more stopping power than 9mm NATO, you should check your facts a little more; because of the diameter and shape of the round, .45 has significantly worse terminal ballistics than 9mm. Shot placement is definitely the most important factor in the lethality of a weapon; even a .22 can be effective if you aim well. While I could argue that any person who owns a handgun for self defense should undergo training to reduce the effects of what you mentioned, it is certainly a valid point. A large downside of .45 ACP is magazine capacity, though. Your average 9mm handgun has a capacity of 16-18 rounds, whereas your typical .45 handgun only carries 8-10. If you're in the middle of a firefight and your primary weapon system (M4 or M16) goes down, wouldn't you rather have more firepower to defend yourself with?

The military should use flat nose handgun ammunition, with a 115 bullet traveling at very high speeds, it will create more damage than a standard FMJ.
this weapon is very easy to shoot with and easy to use, but one time in iraq a soldier planted half a mag in a guy and he survived, he finished him off with an m4

EoTechs are great, as long as you need night vision capability, and they have a better reticle IMO. but the aimpoint has the longest battery life of any other red dot sight, and comes standard with lense covers incase it ends up in the mud, wich is pretty much gonna happen in alot of real combat situations.
but for my ar-15, i use the vortex strikefire. it combines alot of the features i like from both models for a fraction of the price.
it would be ok for LEOs though, because they dont need their optic on 24/7 and have a lesser chance of getting extremely dirty depending on where their department is located.
I think the 9mm is a good caliber with the right type of ammunition as is any other caliber in a handgun for effective defense. I do prefer the .45 acp but I carry do not feel under gunned with my 9mm. Also... I wish more people would post videos where you can see if they actually hit the damn target!

ive shot a couple berettas and they're nice ya...but go home and have fun cleaning them. They're a bitch to disassemble and to reassemble. Nothing compared to the ease of use of the HK USP .45. Now thats a nice gun

EoTechs are great, as long as you need night vision capability, and they have a better reticle IMO. but the aimpoint has the longest battery life of any other red dot sight, and comes standard with lense covers incase it ends up in the mud, wich is pretty much gonna happen in alot of real combat situations.
but for my ar-15, i use the vortex strikefire. it combines alot of the features i like from both models for a fraction of the price.

I think the 9mm is a good caliber with the right type of ammunition as is any other caliber in a handgun for effective defense. I do prefer the .45 acp but I carry do not feel under gunned with my 9mm. Also... I wish more people would post videos where you can see if they actually hit the damn target!

benbellaturay, I am a multiple Glock owner myself and I cannot sing the praises of these fine pistols enough. In 9mm I have the 19 and 26. I love both of them dearly and I am quite confident if I was forced to defend myself that they are quite capable of getting the job done.

well, most gun shops carry beretta due to their popularity. the Military carries the M9, which is basically identical to the 92FS. Chances are they may sell them in Kalifornia, but only with 10 rounds mags due to all those liberal gun laws you got out there. I dont know if you need a permit in Kalifornia or not.

Its great how easy it is to take apart tho. My brother was over in iraq and one of his buds took apart his pistol in the middle of a fire fight, idk why he had to take it apart but he did it in a matter of seconds. so A+ gun:)
