It seems like Kurt is willing to screw up his disguise pretty easily. Even in the original scene where that girl caught him, there was no reason for him to disable the watch before he teleported. And he apparently just removed his disguise in the middle of a neighborhood where multiple houses had their lights on, and teleported over to an ice cream shop. Sometimes I wonder about that boy...
