What most people don't realize is that there is a whole lot more to disco than the 100 or so cuts that repeatedly find themselves on "retro" CDs and compilations. There's a whole underground of amazing deep, funky, soulful, groundbreaking disco. You just have to know what's what. Disco also remains completely viable as it has not gone away, but had morphed into this thing called HOUSE, but that's a whole different conversation.
In Los Angeles we are having DISCO events, jam packed events, take a look at my videos. Disco will never die, the music has survived the test of TIME.
Monghunter loves this!!!! I have just ordered a copy. There is something incredibly enjoyable about it, it's a misxture of cabaret, pop, disco and soul. Super:)

Thanks a lot Ian for keeping this music alive, it's the rifght time for a great comeback of this extraodinary music style, I'm from México, how can I get DISCO 2008?, btw, me and my wife have been your fans since those wonderful disco days.
Thanks Ian i did receive an email from Soren, he so kind to send me emails on a regular basis. I did see some great photos on the Hazell Dean site, it looked like a lot of fun. The music from Disco 2008 is timeless and will still sound fresh 30 years from now! Jan, Cape Town, SA
Well done Ian, for hosting a fab launch party for Disco 2008.Hope the album receives a lot of airplay and leads to many exciting projects for you. keep the music alive. Best regards, Steve
Got my CD/DVD and not stopped playing it. Can't wait for the launch party tonite. Well done Ian, hope you get the recognition you deserve for this album. See you at the Ion Steve
Excited about the new album? Then please sign up for the free Ian Levine Newsletter which is the first to bring you news about Ian's productions. Please send your e-mail address to me, and you will be added to the list.
It doesn't yet seem to be showing on Amazon, but Play dot Com have it already listed and pictured. But Goldsoul is the best place to pre-order if you want to get it first, before anyone else.
You're the greatest Ian! Thanks for making this happen! I hope enough people will support this album to make a second volume possible. To me, the highlights of this album include Sheila Ferguson (for one!), Hazell Dean, Tina Charles, Steve Brookstein, Angie Gold, Pearly Gates and not least George Daniel Long's fantastic rendition of "What Makes A Man A Man" and the political message behind it! Well done - and looking so much forward to the release party on December 3rd!
I Love all those tracks very amazing
