  • Whats the name of that Power Tool you using to cut steel ??

  • @TAYLOR13961 it is called a dremel its like a mini grander but the size of a screwdriver, can be used to cut metal grind metal , cut and inlay and or burn inlay wood with just a change of the bit

  • @TAYLOR13961 also to sand objects

  • have a turkey or hamburger patty ready with some sliced onion, pepper salt, other veggies like carrot, celery, potatoes wrapped in foil. when it gets hot lay it over the flame in a pan and cook it both sides. A real hobo burger cooked in a hobo stove. You're welcome

  • good vid , thanks man

  • Cool, am going to try this but with more cans as a flue for tee pee style tent warmer. Good clear video thanks for sharing.

  • I think he used a hobo lighter too

  • how many burns would you get out of it before the bottom was fried out? Good vid :)

  • I like they way you talk. Thanks for posting.

  • I've included a video response of a hobo-stove I made several years ago. It's quite similar to your stove and made quite a bit the same with my own 'hobo' tools :o) Your stove looks well done and seems to perform as needed. (I no longer use slodeth5 as a channel or a name. I am now, rainbowhiker.) Thanks for the demonstration.

  • 10 seconds until police stop you because they think you're trying to do some sort of drug thing.

  • I'm going to do this with a soup can though.

  • naw man, the two sticks don't got nothin. u could shit on that... say what?

  • Doesnt melts ?

  • @georgecy100 or does melt lol

  • when i go ice fishing im going to take it to make stuw

  • @101airborne565 Cool, make sure it doesn't melt the ice tho ;)

  • awsum now i can cook my rat

  • @jacobbrunberg Awsome!! Good etin'!

  • Very smart

  • @rgolianeh Thanks ;)

  • Spread the word about hobo's and their ways. LOL!!!

  • @fishbumm ;)

  • you know that galvanized metals put off fumes right?

  • @chomprilla Well it's kinda a survival stove, plus nowadays every thing gives out cancerous fumes it seems =S

  • @chomprilla what is the point of the 2 metal sticks on top of the can?

  • @orangeboy97 It's to hold my pot on, but you could go without I guess.

  • The hobo way of telling if waters about to boil put finger in if you say ow its close if its boiling then its owch?

  • cool video

  • @popcann99 Thanks ;)

  • you dont say hobo enough

  • @asger123456789 lol, I'll try more in the future

  • You'll never make it as a hobo!

  • @dangrabat LOL, probably not, not where I live anyway lol

  • why?

  • @bluebellteardrop Why not?

  • i will like because your acadien

  • @survivalyongsters Awsome!!

  • How long do you think this stove will hold up? I've been thinking about making a coffee can into a tent stove

  • @mrlonely199 I don't know to be honest....would also depend on how long you use it every time.

  • lol hobo power tools

  • Nice stove, and nice hobo beard btw!

  • you look like bono and zach galifinackis

  • @THEGUNISFUN ahhaahha awsome! Thanks!

  • Hobo power tools?!?! Powered by hobo power?!?!

  • @TheOriginalEviltech Yup, wich means plugged on someone else's house lol

  • i made one exactly like yours without powertools..... took me 15 minutes. used a can opener, hacksaw, and scissors! all done!

  • @AzNFudgeman Sure, but I wanted an excuse to use my dremel ;)

  • try a 16 brick rocket stove :) It will use less wood and produce hotter heat and less smoke.

  • @qzsue68 I'll check it out, thanks

  • hey buddy. . .. you should poke holes in the bottom as well. . .that way it sucks up air from underneath and you won't need to point it where the wind is coming from. . .it will also save you firewood!!

  • @chrisnelo Ya know this is a pretty good idea, thanks

  • this is too sophisticated for hobos

  • @juki0h granted, but you ca do a simpler one with a pocket knife

  • @juki0h youd be surprized iv seen some rather industriouse hobos that have drills, saws and nails, sqrews iv seen them build some pretty crazy shit torch stoves are the best tho and esy to make and extreamly effective

  • I just used a fairly thin yet fat extra large can of beans. I emptied the beans into a pan, and then used a knife to cut out one hole on top, one hole in the middle, and one hole in the top side.

top hole, heat to cook food (beans).

    middle hole, sticks and lighting.

top side hole for smoke escape, which worked very well.

I used a knife and an everyday can of beans that you could find lying around a campsite.

I found like, 5 cans I could use for hobo stoves.

    And no power tools.

  • @Trickyboy1337 nice, it's true that with a poket knife, you could find all you need in the trashes....power tool are a bit harder to come by tho ;)

  • Hahaha, "Hobo power tools" ...Ahh, oxymorons. We meet again.

I bet after he finished his stove he took a sauna in his igloo and read the atheist bible :D

  • @MyThirdUserAccount lol he sure did

  • Nice design for a stove . I may try to make one with my Milk power can.

Beisdes, I heard the sound of a relax wind miller. Is that call wind miller in English? (English is not my first language)

  • @applesweeter I'm not sure what a wind miller is , I'm not english either lol

  • very simple.

  • mabe leave the big hole flap on a hinge so you can close it

  • @benmoody19 That would be worth a try...

  • Really?

  • ya, nice job,,

  • nice

  • @ jhadacadien I'm thinking of making on these things there pretty neat. I also like the rocket stoves. I live in the Province of Nova Scotia In a little french community. called Wedgeport.

  • @BriggsEngine1 Cool, another Acadian, I've found some plans for a rocket stove in the ne, but I haven't gotten to try it out.

  • @carolinahobo sure they are ;)

  • you have disrespected the hobo community .we hobos are a proud people

  • @Impaler1984 sorry hobos

  • @Impaler1984 hobos don't really have computers...

  • lol hobo tools... ima go smoke some hobo weed go outside and shoot my hobo gun at my loud ass hobo neighbors. hobo por vida!

  • @doapSauce lol

  • hobo's have power tools?

  • @mONEverLOVE Sure they do ;)

  • hobods got lighters like that? :)

  • @Kenzozero Sure they do ;)

  • My physics project at school is to build and calibrate a cheap stove. I build mine similar to yours, and am making modifications to it to make it better.

  • @MrSnowrocks Well that should be a great project! hope you get a good grade on it

  • @jihadacadien well as long as we make a stove and attempt to calibrate it, we get an A. So far its been really good and fun, nobody has burnt themselves yet! So i guess we are doing it right!

  • @MrSnowrocks Well then don't cut off any fingers off ;)

  • Wow. That's so cool. Thank you for sharing.

  • @LaoSoftware No problem, glad you liked the vid!

  • You could cut slits into the scrap piece you cut out and fit it into the bottom with the arch pointed upward so it wouldn't collapse when it got hot and it would act like a grate and let air come in from underneath .

  • @sirtom68 That sounds like a worth trying out idea..thanks

  • Hobo tools heh, i've never seen a hobo with a dremmel tool :), awesome tho

  • @zenosxr lol, thanks

  • Je vais essayer pour sur

  • @metalmarc1 Cool

  • Why not just put toilet paper in a can and douse it with alcohol? It's a lot easier. It last a long time too. The paper acts like a wick and never burns out.

  • @awebreeze1 Well a hobo would never burn toilet paper! it's worth a lot of hobo money!!

  • @jihadacadien I thought toilet paper WAS the hobo money?

  • @Javin007 lol, depends on the country lol

  • @awebreeze1 any selfrespecting hobo would rather drink the alcohol than burn it...

  • @n00gai101 Thats a fact lol

  • I remember my dad told me about how him and his buddies made these when they were kids, and in particular had one for this fort they'd built... and stopped playing in when a REAL hobo came around one day all drunk and took a leak inside it. I can see how the appeal would be lost after that.

This would've been the 1950s, mind you, so children playing with fire and drunken neighborhood hobos were commonplace I assume. ^_^

  • @nrrork ahhaahahah, a hobo pissed in it!! wow!

  • If raised and placed on a smaller can with openings all around and a small hole in the bottom of the hobo stove with mesh steel wiring can help draw more air underneath the can drawing the fire in the combustion chamber in the hobo can even higher. Sorry for the grammar

  • @woulfe42 Lol, well that sounds like good modifications

  • Good video but may i make a suggestion my friend? Use no more than 4 - 6 holes around the top.. you do want the air circulation, but it allows for more heat to escape with so many holes up top.

  • @martialartist34 yeah I agree with the holes thing.

  • great stove ive got to get one of them.

  • @shippen2010 Well unless you steal one from a hobo you'll have to make it ;) And hobos have knives usually ;)

  • I put on my hobo shoes, jumped into my hobo car and accidentally backed over my neighbors hobo dog on the way to buy hobo tools!

The rubber gripped gloves were a nice touch with the fire hot metal can stove. :)

  • @Greygor1234567890 LOL, and yeah hobo gloves are needed ;)

  • @jihadacadien

Im glad you joked back, some people get so serious when you joke with them. Keep up the good uploads. I really liked the indoor potatoes video, Im thinking I have to try it too now! Thanks :)

  • @Greygor1234567890 well thanks for commenting, and I'm not one to take things serious anyway ;) Oh and i got a new channel now too ;)

  • Lol hes Canadian

  • @TheSexyTelemarketer Darn right eh?

  • When I make mine I think that I'll split the metal where you had a large rectangular opening in two so that it forms a "barn door" which will be permanently left open. The idea is two fold. first it will either funnel or draw more fresh air through the combustion chamber based on the direction you face it and secondly, the out stretched doors would allow you to place either damp wood across them for drying or another skewer with bits of veggies or meat to be heated but not directly in the flame

  • @1955thekeeper ounds good, nothing better than trying suff out! but I like the drying wood idea

  • great idea, i wanted to try this out real quick so i made a tiny one out of a black olive can, seems to work great, i'll have to go to the store later i saw a mini pot there that should sit on top of it perfectly

  • @GMSamuelRhine Well you could do like a real hobo and find one in the trash ;) but I would buy one too ;)

  • @jihadacadien lol good idea

  • @brmarijn ahhahaah

  • Great little video.

  • @traitorsbeware Thanks ;)

  • I love homemade gadgets :D Such as ethanol stove but this DEVICE use fuel that cost nothing. Simple, but nice. Post new videos when made something interesting

  • @MrJohhhnnnyyy Yeah it is pretty esay to make and works pretty good.

  • What metal thing did you use for that? Also did you use a can opener to make the holes in the circle?

  • @WeaponSamurai I used a Dremel for the straight cuts....and a opener for the top and the triangle holes

  • @jihadacadien Yea I got one made and will be using it soon. Can't wait.

  • @WeaponSamurai Cool, have fun!

  • you can take the pan off and refill it while it's got hot coals and it'll relight.

  • @aomimezura11 Oh good idea, thanks

  • Im going to have to give this a try. Cool.....

  • @Allen2045 Yeah it is fun!

  • Great vid! I noticed ur accent is french and Im from quebec where r u from?

  • @wafflecraker No it's from ew Brunswick. we're Acadians! ;)

  • Almost isn't good enough!!! Now all the hobos will be dehydrated!!

  • @Jrshuffles lol

  • would a paint can work? you could cut hols/slots in the lid for the grill...

  • @4daheluvit It would, but the paint might be toxic or something. And you know you can try the holes thing...might just work.

  • @hf47hg4wjg89aw ahhaha yeah but hobo inges are hard to find ;) but that is a great tip! You should film your little built ;)

  • how do we make hobo powertools

  • @flambello you find them in the trash ;)

  • @jihadacadien pls tell me how to restore them because the hobo laptop with hobo internet does not have that much battery tnx

  • @flambello Well this one is easy, just plug it on an outdoor outlet by sleeping behind a house. just be off before the residents wake up.

  • hobo power tools !? hahaha

  • @Charsept ;)

  • nice thanks for the vid dude!

  • @jake062490 No problem. Glad you liked it

  • that was really cool i will give a try

  • @GAMER45150 Cool, but you can make the big hole smaller.

  • i like it post more i want to know ho to mke a pan now y dont you post a video on make utensils for this then ill be satisfied

  • @1603047 I just use a camping pan and a peice of brach as a utensil.....i wouldnt cook in any thing reclaimed just to be on the safe side.

  • ya most hobos have those tools..

  • @hero10555 Well you could do this with a pocket knife

  • Hahaha this is cool!

  • @ghostofpaulrevere oh yes it is!

  • just saying ,u did a good job and i made one before and i cut my self so i get what u r saying

  • @MrCamperman123 yeah i cut myself last year with a can making slug traps. they will cut you good!

  • just saying

  • I thought i had thie nailed before anyone else, then i found this video. Only read difference is that mide has a much smaller door to retain heat, a pinwheeled top to focus heat, and I used a triangular can piercing can opener for the vent holes at the bottom.

  • @MisterLEM0NS Yah I do like the top, must heat it faster too.

  • @jihadacadien not bad mate, a smaller door is better and i drilled 15mm holes around it randomly so it wont matter which direction the wind is coming.

  • @SuperHefner I agree with the smaller door

  • my hobo family my hobo house my hobo car

  • i dont think hobos have tools

  • @MrCamperman123 Well you can do this with a pocket knife...but I didn't feel like stabing my hands by accident

  • Thanks for the vid! Its looking like I will most likely be homeless by fall, so I have been looking for information like this. I have six months to get supplies together.

    Take care, Sky.

  • @Borderjoy =S Well I hope you're not! still with the way things are going..try to get to warmer climate too.

  • oh no, it was 211*F :(
