did they used to sell these game and watches at toys r us right now you have to buy them off the internet today if you want them again right if you do not have them any more
What a great video! The Popeye theme from the Sinbad episode was a wonderful touch. I always wondered what the tabletop Game & Watch tabletop games looked like. The gameplay reminds me a bit of Urban Champion.
...or, better yet, should they vote to continue the Super Smash Brothers series, include him as a new character to play as in the game? I could imagine some interesting match-ups in the game, too. Let me just say that Bowser/Big Devil Koopa would wish to have picked on the Mario Brothers instead!
Well, there is some truth to that rumor but it all really hinged on the success of Donkey Kong Jr., which was released around the same time as Popeye. Needless to say, that game succeeded as well and some things went wrong with King Features Syndicate around the time that the games were made, so Popeye, in essence, lost out on his bid to become the mascot for Nintendo.
You had to shine a light onto the back of the unit in order get a nice bright image. The colors were filters. Man I remember playing this thing 'till the batteries would go dead.
I still have mine too! Classic!! Brings back great memories. Mines still works too!

Great classic. Now Nintendo ought to come up with a good Popeye game for the Wii :-).

Oh sure you show the tabletop to the left then you see there's another on the right.
This is the same butthole that has like 10 Super Mario Bros copies.
This guy needs to share a little.
