Wonderful video! Please please please record in HD next time... makes it MUCH easier for us to see and understand. Especially someone new like myself.
The piece you say that can break when taking the slide cover off... Can you link that please? I just placed an order with you guys for some other parts and tools, but couldn't find that piece.
@vtecrkp1 Springer Precision Aluminum Cocked Indicator Guide Just click the link under Springer Precision parts or enter the part name in the search engine. Thanks
You must remove the striker and the pin that holds in the striker safety block before removing the striker. We just grind down little allen wrenches in a pinch to get under the extractor.
two questions, will the trigger job work with a 9mm conversion barrel and where can i find the little tool for the extractor? one more thing, thx for the videos.
@metaZen Barsto.com has conversion barrels. I do not suggest them if you are looking for a reliable operation as the difference in breach face size will allow for some feeding/extraction issues.
5:48 "make sure you put the proper side of the striker retaining pin..." The "proper" side of the retaining pin means crimped smaller side of the roll pin goes into the hole first.
The video is certainly informative and useful at its current zoom levels. But when you really look at it, far more of your workbench and arms than needs to be are in the field of view as opposed to just the subject matter gun part. Recommend in general for all your videos, that your cameraman zoom in enough where the subject matter gun part takes up most of the video's frame but not so close that the viewer can no longer see how you are using your tools on the parts. (cont...)
The cameraman would have to keep the subject matter centered in the field of view if you constantly move it around and/or you can simply keep the parts in a tight location on your workbench while you work on them. Recommend also a somewhat focused and brighter light source illuminating the gun part to substantially bring out the details of the gun parts (especially if you reshoot the videos close-up!). The camera's built in light should work fine.
I've book marked this video and added it to my favorites thanks...

Can you take just the extractor out or is it held in there by the other stuff? Also, what was that tool you used to pry it out with?

@drumminshooter Yes, you must remove the striker and the pin that holds in the striker safety lever first.
