LOL i was looking away and for a second I thought i really was watching some cooking video with a blender going. That must be really annoying on the road, any ideas on what it could be?
According to the dealer its due to moisture on or in the heater core and its normal. However most RX8s don't do it so doesn't sound like a common thing to me. I just hope it isn't doing damage to anything.
That's good to know although I sold the car over a year ago. Hopefully it will help other owners.

Cause of problem: Too much coolant flow at high RPM
Solution: Have Mazda install "orifice, heater hose" to restrict coolant flow (P/N : F10061E09)
For more info, google "rx8club 181950" without the quotes. I tried to post the direct link, but youtube wont allow it.

you sure about this?

My '07 does this.
It sounds to me like bubbles in the coolant flowing really fast. It's probably what MrLane03 described.

The cause of this is too much coolant flow at high RPM. Mazda installed a "coolant restrictor valve" which eliminated this very annoying sound.
