Is it recomended to use spiked xc shoes for these types of races?

@MrTerybul It was a 2.75 mile course for girls, they only do the hill once...so it wasn't as "fast" as you think...

The men's course is 3.04 miles and they do the hill twic

@joseluisbeep Actually Meghan Breadmore is extremely good. So yes in fact it was VERY fast. She ended about 30 second before the 2nd place finisher. She got 9th in nationals and 12 in regionals. In case you don't know what the means, it means she was only 2 places away from going to nationals. I believe that means she will be going to a pack 10 school next year. Indeed she has very fast feet.

@TheDaughterofAthena Yeah, I know what you mean. She is good, I've seen her run a 17:35 on a 5k before...I run that course for xc. I just wanted to clarify that the girls course that day was 2.75 miles rather than a full 5k, so that might have thrown off MrTerybul, cus his amazement seemed to come from perhaps thinking she had run that time on a full 5k course.

@joseluisbeep I think MrTerybul was just explaining that she is very fast. I run that course as well and I know I could never run that time. I would only wish to be as good as her. Either way that is an extremely fast time to be running by yourself a whole race.

@stfuyoungman Thanks for the heads up "stfuyoungman" and thanks to the correction of the heads up "bbdweller". Like what bbdweller said the number after the name is the class year, not the grade number. A bit confusing when the class year is so close to the grade year. On the video itself when it started raining I thought there might be a story line or situation forth coming and indeed the tight confines of the finish line chute and the slippery conditions created an interesting situation.
