  • how did you manage to do this? Would i be able to do this on my macintosh classic?

  • That browser is like, "dum dee dum! Let's explore the world wide w... holy mother of......"

  • mobile web? lol

  • Good stuff. My SE won't load google either.. whats up with that?

  • I wish i had a macintosh...

  • Can this be done with a Macintosh Classic?

  • no flash support :((((( SAD! :(

  • I will do this when I get mine in the mail.

  • Someone just gave me a macintosh se that looks really similar, wish he went into more detail telling what software/hardware is needed to do this. Still very cool though.

  • Hello I' d like to connect my Mac SE fdhd online. There' s a way to connect it to an iBook Clamshell under classic os and share the internet with it? I Don' t know if it' s possible and the right cable.

  • system 6.0.8 to be exact

  • Use that Internet Server on your SE and go on YouTube, lol.

  • @terceldude no flash support!

  • Rendering speed of this SE is not bad!

  • Looks like System 4

  • OMG how? i have a mac se FDHD my dad got off ebay and i got a DaynaPORT SCSI/Link-T also but i cant get to the internet. what card/transcever are you using???

    Thx in advance

  • asante ethernet to an old netgear hub (you need an old hub - old ethernet and new ethernet sometimes dont play well together) and then to my router. using mactcp for the networking.

  • lol at 1:30 "Error! Bollox! Damn!"

  • thats internet?????????/

  • How did you do that? My Vista laptop ain't as cool as that lol.

  • it isn't really searching the web it is streaming the web from one machine to another

  • erm.. the SE is connected to my broadband via ethernet.

there is no other machine in the way.

  • Doesn't sound unreasonable - I think people have this misconception that Web Browsing requires an Uber powerful platform - infact it's the firect opposite - I used to browse the web in College on a 386 running Windows 3.11!

  • i believe he put an ethernet card in that SE.

  • man, this is beautiful! I wish i could make my Apple II surf the web!

  • There is a video of someone using an apple 2 to surf the web on here... just search for it.

  • Do I need to remind you that the Apple 2 didn't utilize a GUI?

This is clearly System 1 or later.

  • of course it is... it's system 6 or later... but there is a video of an apple II on youtube... it's really neat

  • @ORUPRANKSTAZ Have you never heard of GS/OS?

  • Apple 2 did not have a web-browser. I think the guy used a modification or a newer version of MacOS.

  • wow you have a dinosaur

  • maybe you should like run... software update or whatever,

Lol and OSX on Mac SE

  • what's the browser? and how long does it take to start up?

  • macweb is the browser - a few seconds or so. not much slower to start than todays borwsers in a system a couple of years old.

  • What are you using for internet access?

    Modem?

    Some connection to a network?

    Nice work!

  • ethernet to my broadband router through an old hub to kinda translate the old network card to the new router.

  • it wouldn't be able to boot pictures up would it

  • it can do .gifs i think - there is certainly the facility to download the images in the webpage, and it renders image placeholders - so it can in someway - but i think it is just gifs, and perhaps the odd tif, that said i tried once and the system crashed.

  • If you think that is cool/scary there is a web browser for the Commodore 64!

I have it and it does work, but text only.

  • im so intimidated by oldness. like I just can't stand primitiveness.

  • the good ol days

  • I liked it, was cool to see an old computer surf the web.
