this song is actually the beat for the mexican rap group control machete , they have a song called "comprendes mendes" check it out and you will see its the same song, just modified slightly

I checked it out, looks like this theme is a knock-off of that song......typical WCW. Makes sense now though, as to why Rey would use a knock-off of that song....he began getting into that whole Mexican hip-hop thing in late '98....

when rey lost his mask and started getting into the mexican hip hop phase was when he got a really big push. and most of his fans back then were teenagers and adults. but when he went to the wwe vince made him put his mask back on so he can target little kids as his fan base. and in lucha libre when you lose your mask and you put it back on you can actually lose your fighting license wich is why he never went back to mexico to wrestle

My favorite Rey Mysterio Theme. It was actually released on a CD over in Europe I believe with other themes, one of them I think the Paul Orndorff theme, which a slightly different version would be used by the Maestro.
