Great stuff guys. And since we're all perfectionist here (most likely) I just wanted to point out the kick drum is playing the wrong beat! Other then that excellent stuff!
I like the bass and the guitar better less compression and 80's style production makes it rawer and more powerful. Johnny Marr is one of the best guitarists of all time.
I must have watched this well over 100 times since it went up and it gets better everytime I watch it. I have viewed over 3000 YouTube clips and this is my number one.
Hey...just noticed you have a 56 goldtop. Is it Gibson or Epiphone? I have the Epi - is there a big difference in sound? Did you retain the stock P-90 pickups? If you only had the 56' goldtop, do you think you could still do most of your music with just that for electric? Thanks for the great videos.
Just great musicianship! Are those Roland midi covers on real drums?
Also, any chance you would share your wav stems from pro tools to import into my Cubase? I would LOVE to sing these songs with you as my band! It's like having the Smiths in the studio :-)
Listen guys, that sounds great, I'm a really big johnny marr fan too. If your interested I would like to have you sample my original music as well as yours. Maybe the music world could appreciate our direction, I don't know.
Without getting technical, the bass line has some extra upper octave notes I don't recall from the original (maybe just never noticed), but it sounds FANTASTIC.
Daniel you could show your face too, don't be shy eh eh eh We know you from Primrose League videos but I think this kind of presentation must be like a hapenning with friends around your guitar.
Wow....this is absoulutely amazing. I've watched it 3 times in a row over the last few minutes. You executed Johnny's "solo" with unparalled ease. This was quite moving.
Nice work! Hope to see more collaborations like this. Oh, and if you do end up singing on it, maybe you could locate Ann Coates and have her sing backing vocals. HAHAHAHAHA...........
It's supposed to sound loud and live. Also, youtube compression always dampens the fidelity of the audio a bit, sometimes introducing unwanted artifacts.
GREAT ONE! its been a while since your last upload, but it worthed the wait.
Daniel, im still waiting for OSCILLATE WILDLY. Is it because you dont play the keyboards that you never made a cover? Because it seems that you can play anything man.. Thanks for the upload
It simply breaks my heart man, I think im gonna cry! lol
Now seriously, I never saw that coming from a Smiths fan, I guess you, as a guitarrist prefer other kind of songs.. with strong, catchy riffs like this one.
May be 325C58 could try doing an oscillate wildly cover.. I hope so
Thanks, so am I. I wanted to do a full version of this for a while - but 325C58 already did a great job with it so it made sense to build on it. I have been singing along with my Morrissey impression but it's a little bit... comedic.
well you can always do it ala Primrose.. I know the guy from The Sniths Indeed does a great Moz but you sounded brilliant in your other recordings like Lucifer Sam ..Im sure your singing would do The Smiths justice..
Great job, bud! My favorite Smiths song! You killed it (in the best way possible)!
