I really love this movie. This song is one of my favorite parts. I'm so glad they picked these two for this movie. originally, the cast directors looked at Willy Nelson and Barbara Mandrell or Crystal Gayle. That's the problem. They bastardiezed the Broadway show... Miss Mona first was a buisness woman... not a loose woman. Dolly played it like a sorority sister when it should have been played alittle more seriously. It was a 'farce of Texas' with dolly as opposed to what the Broadway show was, "Real" Texans. Miss Mona would never have dolled herself up the way Dolly did. Miss mona would have thought it a waste of time to get gussied up like that.

I absolutely adore this movie! It is soooo under-rated by old jaded musical critics. Despite Dolly's diffculties during this period, she looked so vibrant and healthy (not that she doesn't now....she's still stunning!), but.....whoo....she looks angelic, and as it happens, not dissimilar to a young Mae West!
