  • it's in my heart. this song i'll never forget ..

  • I think the "older" ladies who cried to/in this concert who is in the same age as Paul saw them perform live in their teenage years and in this concert they remembered the feeling the first time they saw them and how they grew up in their music. The way they used to fangirl to the Beatles in their times. It's amazing. It's like "I remembered screaming how much I adore them while they perform" The Beatles is classic.

  • I've got to see this man once more

  • This song is awesome, when you hear it it feels like you know someone doesn't love you anymore but you still can't believe it.

  • This song is amazing! I cant wait to see Paul on November 2012 in Cancún (:

  • revolver best album ever

  • I can't believe there is even 1 dislike for this song....

  • what a legend a pure genius paul is.

  • It's a Break-Up song, Dudes & Dudettes. Lost mine of 17 years this year. Sucks to be me...

  • Paul ♥

  • why are those people not singin? COMO ON!

  • @juan2Tv Because sometimes, you just listen, and soak it in. When i saw Paul, I sung my heart out the whole concert, but stood in silence for Eleanor Rigby, Let it Be and Yesterday. If he were to sing For No One when I saw him, i'm sure i would be just as spellbound. I wanted to just to listen and appreciate, it was simply beautiful to just stare in silence at the man himself, singing his life's work, to the pieces of music that had managed to become part of the soundtrack to my life.

  • @dylantoniazzi you are right haha and i cant say nothing else about it

LONG LIVE SIR PAUL MCCARTNEY have a great night and merry christmas and happy new year

  • I LOVE HIS HANDS!! <3<3<3

  • Should have played the horn solo with a real horn

  • I think that Paul will still melt hearts when he is singing at age 100.

  • Paul isn't far removed from "Bubblegum" since they broke up.

  • Error 0:58, pero a él se le perdona todo.

  • They are not serious fans. Probably more in to Bubblegum and Rapp music!!

  • FIVE PERSON clicks on "i don't like".

    WHAT HAVE IN YOUR EARS?

  • One of the most beautiful songs ever written, I think! We love you Paul!!

  • genius

  • 2:25 Cindy Lauper?

  • I wonder what goes through Paul's head when he performs this live.

  • 良い歌だよね

    Here,There And Everywhereも好きだけど

    こっちもかなり良い

  • from 0:30-0:33 that girl is looking around like "wth r u guys doing sitting?"

  • Esta canción es tan triste pero tan certera, hay veces que el amor desaparece dejando paso a la nada.

  • i cry as i watching this ;( love you paul ♥

  • J'adore cette chanson. Magnifique. Un des chefs d'oeuvre de Polo, à mon avis.

  • this version sounds much more cheerful then the original

  • @serpent918 I think that when Paul wrote it, he was writing about the end of his romance with Jane Asher, and the original Beatles version reflected his real pain. It's like Alanis singing "You oughtta know"; she can still deliver but it's not the same as when she recorded it because you can't stay crazy that long.

  • defo 1 of the under-rated songs in history...

  • For hidden messages in Beatles songs search Truth Contest, click on The Present, click on the Beatles section. Thumbs up on this comment.

  • okmot your a whanker you drop kick tosser. You should be put in the garbage and I would love to arrange it. Piss off!!

  • @MsLittletimmy

I think okmot was talking about his comment..if not he should have been!

  • I say that long ago i knew someone, but now she's gone, i should have kept her.

  • @okmot utter tripe. thumbs down to this garbage.

  • One of the most simple and penetrating love songs I've ever heard.

  • nao acredito que vou perder isso

  • Paul broke my heart. Again.

  • I just broke my own record for "longest chill"

  • Such a beautiful song, yet so sad.

  • Nice blue T-shirt !

  • Paul is a real artist. He paints pictures with his music. Pure talent. Unlike all these other blokes parading around. Gotta love McCartney!! =]

  • hï_ANÿÒNÈ_wânñÁ_chAt_with_mË_Ì_fEEl_sÓ_løÑëlý_töÐÁý≡

  • When Paul dies, we will march the streets singing this song!

  • i like it...

  • He no longer needs me... I want him I need him.. and yet when he says his love is dead I want to think he needs me. In his eyes I see nothing. all my fault.

  • She no longer needed me... So I neglected this song.. forgetting its beauty.

  • at this time he was kind of short on money so he could not afford a french-hornist for the solo. poor macca.

  • i'm planning to sing this song on my second marriage's reception. i plan to dedicate this to my first wife that left me...

  • For those interested; this beautiful song, originally from the Revolver album, featured George Martin playing the harpsichord and the great classical musician Allan Civil playing the french horn solo.

I understand Sir Paul wrote the song when he split with Jane Asher (at her initiation). He clearly sang it from the heart.

The synthesiser on this live track is awful.

  • 1:17 fucked up the feeling

  • @ellioteaston93 (8-B) YAYYYY! lol

  • @ellioteaston93 absolutely- is she listening to what the rest of us are hearing? you wouldn't know it from her expression

  • speechless, holding my tears...

  • Beautiful melancholy tune.

  • this song kills :0( but its an awsome song

  • This song is one of the most beautiful songs I've ever heard. It's perfect.

  • Paul McCartney.........the SELL OUT BEATLE...it's just pop drivel........

  • @emaclynch This is a Beatles song from Revolver released in '66. How could it be a pop drivel sell out, if Paul was mid career with The Beatles when he wrote it?

  • @emaclynch He sells out alright... everywhere he plays, and for good reason. I guess For No One isn't for everyone.*sigh*

  • Great sensibility of the camera to show female faces in the audience as if they were in communion with the music, as if the music speak directly in your hearts.

  • The eyes @ 1:32 say it all.

  • I usually dislike Paul McCartney until I hear this or anythingt off Flowers in the Dirt......

  • For the 5 dislikes on this, I feel sorry , that they have not had the experience the carousel of emotions, of loving and losing. You might understand the power of this song, if you are in the broken hearts club.

  • He is brilliant..word..

  • i always thought the solo at 1:08 to about 1:19 was a french horn, was it?

  • @Slappyiskool yeah it was. it looks like he just didn't have a french hornist around^^

  • @majorbalna The person who did the French horn in the recording, Alan Civil, passed away.

  • @majorbalna it's english horn c:

  • @majorbalna Yeah, he probably couldn't afford it. :-)

  • @majorbalna I'm french, i'll do that for Paul. Lol

  • @majorbalna was it? i thought it was the organ :)

  • @majorbalna They didn't when recording either :). They had to pay a local hornist 52 pence to play for them.

  • @Slappyiskool It was that, and it was this song that made me take up playing the French Horn. Later, in the late 1980's I was a fairly successful standup comedian and I used to do a routine about how a French horn was called a French horn but an English horn was called a Cor Englais. Thankfully age has erased such nonsense from my head!

  • @Slappyiskool

it's the keyboardist in the background, synthing the horn...

  • @Slappyiskool It's just easier to sample it and play it on the keys(also the piccolo trumpet on Penny Lane is done on the keyboard)...but i think the fans would prefer seeing the real instruments Sir Paul!!!...Come on,you can afford it!

  • @rehtafsedaj777 yeah, Look at (and listen)to the clips from Wings Over America tour. (1976) Real horns! Awesome

  • @Slappyiskool yeah it was, but that was just a piano voice :P

  • The woman at 0:24 says it all really.

This is the music which has been part of our lives

  • hypnotized fans :24, :42, :54, 1:17, ...kind of 1:32, and a few at the end

  • compared to that man micheal jackson is a total fraud who doesn't even deserve fame

  • @hayabusafmw I agree that McCartney is greater than Jackson. But I don't think Jackson "doesn't even deserve fame." He was one of the greatest musicians, too.

  • After all these years he's still got it...

  • McCartney moving people since 1962 !

    Respect man !

  • I'm moved man , i'm crying !

  • Seriously.... You can't play the French Horn solo on electronic equipment. You need an actual French Horn.

  • @SirPwn4lot And the french horn gave it the touch to make For No One one of the best songs ever recorded. For me it is always a Beatles song, not just Paul's in the way In My Life is a Beatles song and not just John's.

  • @Emerystreet Even though neither John nor George even played on "For No One"?

  • @JohnPaulGeorgeNose Fair point and a very interesting one too. Still one of my favourite Beatles songs even if the other two had skived off work! Cheers and I learnt something from you.

  • thumbs up if this song makes you cry!

  • for where is that shit people that make sstupids faces listen the song and do nothing what the shit face piut the people God forgive me please but i reaaly hate haha

  • fresh from revolver

  • he's the last living legend we have left

  • This song is very sad... !!! :'(

  • @Cokain3 Beatles were masters of creating 'sad' songs that were composed in major keys. This song is a perfect example.

  • MORAISITO O FUGITIVO - the best!!

  • I love love love this song.

  • I remember getting my hands on an advance copy of Revolver in July, 1966, and being one of (if not the) first ones in my town (Nashville) to start spinning it incessantly on turntable, reveling in every nuance. This song is certainly one of the highlights.

  • And break-up songs don't get any better than this, either :-D

  • It is so, so rare for a humongous audience at a concert like this to make hardly any sound during a song. Really shows how amazing Paul is.

  • @disgrl4 crowds are practically silent during this song....shows how freakin amazin this guy is in person.

  • @disgrl4 you betcha....been at his concerts....it does happen...simply awesome when it does.

  • this is one of the most beautiful songs ever written, hands down.

i never get tired of it.

    great video man :-)

  • His voice has changed a little. But he is still the best, love him so much!!!!! He tastes like wine.......

  • Please come back to MEXICO!!!!

  • I'm a grown man with a sensible head on my shoulders, so why do i almost burst into tears when i hear this?

  • @dubb1995. cos it's so beautiful and affecting. it's always had that bewitching effect on me too (first heard it in 1985)

  • @dubb1995 I can tell you one thing about Paul. I study music myself in great great depth and I can tell you this man is a MUSIC GENIUS! I love this song too!

  • @ Dubb1995 Perchè hai Fatto venire a me! quando la risento mi sento quasi lacrimare, POI la versione di Fatta da Hammiolu Harris Davanti a Obama, e Davvero toccante! .

  • @dubb1995 because you're a grown man with a sensible head on your shoulders.

  • @dubb1995 same here. Something magical about the music that band put out. I guess I was about 4 years old when this came out. weird, awesome.

  • @dubb1995 hey Dubb...just natural man..I'm with you...

  • @dubb1995 amen brother! couldn't say it better

  • @dubb1995 For the same reason all the rest of us do! They are so great it defies belief!

  • @dubb1995 You're not the only one man !

    Greetings .

  • @dubb1995 It's called nostalgia. I'm 59 and hearing this song takes me back to 15 or 16 years old to a wonderful time in my life when these guys called The Beatles took over my record player and have never really given it back.

  • @dubb1995 Me too, dubb, this song was one of my biggest thrills to see him perform live (Toronto), a favourite of mine for at least 45 years, a long wait. (Dizzy Miss) Lizzy

  • @dubb1995 Me too, dubb, one of my favourite songs of all time, waited 45 years to hear Paul sing it live in Toronto...what a thrill. (Dizzy Miss) Lizzy

  • I know for a fact if I were there, I would be crying the whole concert through...... I see a commercial with him in it, and I cry... and when it's all four Fabs, I get hysterical....

    God love my Beatles!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @tiranchula tell me about it ... seriously.

  • beatles overated never nobody will ever come up to the beatles standards they are just pure brilliance

  • And then we have to listen to some people saying the beatles were overrated... haha. Funny joke.

  • I honestly could not imagine my life without his music.

  • Wonderful!

  • 0:31 put your hands down watch paul and just listen

  • I always thought it would be really cute if he and Jane Asher kind of reconnected now that they're grown and experienced with life.. but Paulie's happy with his girlfriend and Jane is happily married, so they can just be friends. :P

  • beethoven would be proud

  • macca wrote it , fair enough but he cant play it as good as me ;) weird lol

  • This song is Jane Asher...perfect

  • Great song, or greatest song?

  • This is a good example of the one criticism I have of Paul live: he tends to play every song at the same speed.

Slow down and chillax, Paul! Play it like it was on the original record. What's the rush?

  • PAUL McCARTNEY IS GREAT

    PAUL McCARTNEY IS GOD

    PAUL McCARTNEY ES LA VERGA

  • @CONEJOCALLADO como chingas "es la verga"????Oye poonyaterro chaqaterro padrotte!!

  • He sounds as if he had a cold :( Still awesome though.

  • very elegant.

  • His voice sounds unusually stuffy in this song.

  • oooohhhhhhhhh!!!

  • what abeautiful meaningul song- so underapreciated. Paul is a musical genius Beatles/Wings/ Fireman/ anything macca does forever!

  • i like how paul says up in the line, "She wakes UP, she makes UP."

    "
