No niestety, klasyczny doom metal nie jest już chyba zauważalny.

Te nowe twory bardziej przypominają odmiany black metalu. Wystarczy porównać np. Pentagram do jakiegokolwiek growlującego zespołu z niby tej samej działki. Myślę, że wielu decyduje się właśnie na growl, bo:

Tak jest łatwiej, taka jest moda, tak jest mhr666czniej (?)

Spójrzcie na utwór Elemental zespołu(?) Thergothon. Czysty wokal jest bardziej niepokojący niż growl, który wszystko burzy jednym whoeee.

Mozecie zbluzgać albo olac...Gdzie się podział klasyczny doom metal?... Z definicji miał "czysty" wokal ,a wszyscy jadą na growlu... kto oprócz prekursorów gra dzisiaj jeszcze ten pierwszy niski, nie za szybki ale mocny ze ŚPIEWEM? Dla growlu zostawcie etykietki black(ened) i death...Co do mojej krytyki moje westchnienia idą z tesknotą a nie totalnym oburzeniem.

Jak najbardziej się zgadzam, ale obawiam się, że możemy polegać jedynie na takich klasykach jak Candlemass, Saint Vitus czy Solitude - nowe zespoły wolą zwykle grać nową muzykę i nieco eksperymentować (przynajmniej z własnych doświadczeń tak wynika). Nie widzę jednak w tym nic złego, szczerze powiedziawszy.

Kiedy pozwolisz nowym zespołom grać nową muzyke to otrzymasz takie patologie jak linkin park czy korn. A który wokalista z nowych zespołów ma mocny głos o bardzo szerokiej skali(pytanie retoryczne)? A growle są podobne...

Nie, nie wstydzę się tak grać. Po prostu mówię, że czasy się zmieniają i muzyka ewoluuje - mimo, że stare zespoły nie umierają.

I szczerze mówiąc nie rozumiem, co masz do tych zespołów... Linkin Park to jeszcze, ale KoRn według mnie gra naprawdę dobrze. Owszem, to coś innego niż "klasyczny" metal... ale czy to od razu oznacza, że jest złe?

well i am into Doom Metal scene for a long years. About polish scene i know Sirrah , COS, Neolithic and Nightly Gale ..

And yes Sirrah - Bitter Seas is definetly killer song . In 1995 i got one compilation album . Discovered there. And year 2008 am still listening and the people whom i play for is like :o wow ..

I like 'The Pagan Winter' demo very much, but I don't see any connections, Sear Bliss is black metal!

The atmosphere..trumpet.,keyboard just reminds me of the mood of The Pagan Winter,but minus the bitch and the more doomier vocals ;),Sear Bliss aint your average black metal band though,they have that hungarian sound thats got like them doom elements within it,(Phantoms,The Haunting), were a bit more doomier than say like Forsaken Symphony or Glory And Perdition, which had more emphasis on melodic black,,do you have any more songs you can upload from  Asgaard's demo?

Unfortunatelly I havn't got this dom:(. There was only 50 copies reedition by Foreshadow. I've tried to buy, but I was too late, last copy was sold.

But I recomend you first full album - 'When The Twilight Set In Again' - its still gothic/doom, but next albums have nothing to do with doom.
