its so awesome, i have watched probably 10,000 videos on here and i dont recall ever seeing a video with nearly 9k views and not a single dislike. finally we dont have jerks doing it just cause. nothing wrong with this video
@MsMadSandwich any ballet store, there are some that sell all different brands and then obviously some brand specific. some main ones are bloch, grishko and capezio. :)
They are called pointe shoes. Dancers train for a minimum of 4 hours a week for three years to build up strength to wear them. It requires tremendous dedication and strength to be able to dance in pointe shoes. They can be bought at dance stores, for around $70.
It's pathetic that our dance audiences have been trained to act with such disrespect. Allow them to perform and wrap you up in their story...then applaud wildly and jump to your feet!!!
Victoria Rose lived across the street from us for 7 years. Dancing was her complete obsession to the same degree athletic effort is to an olympian. For the last three years they lived there, she took care of our dog when we traveled. I'm thrilled to be able to say "I knew her when".
It's so annoying they're clapping after every little jump or turn. She's a great dancer and her story is so inspiring and incredulous but c'mon people.. keep the clapping for the end, that's what they always do in ballet, it's a sort of rule.
@groovestufs well i mean if you think about it, she's not performing "true" ballet in this performence. And I mean, after hearing that story, why wouldn't they clap? I'm clapping that she can even dance again.
@groovestufs actually you have to clap when something is good, so i would clap on the whole time because it was all amazing, so i would let those peope clap all they want. its actually giving her more honor. (:
i love the fact that i know her and i dance at the same studio as her (x <3

BalletShoes96 thanks! Well I am not that well trained yet in dance, but I might be able to work up the strength to do a routine in them!
