she's too fat... :( and you commentors don't know how hard it is to take care of them. If humans were their size they'd need almost 100 times our calcium intake. if you don't research well about them they will die. Most instructions online are by rehabiltators who only know how to care for them short term, although that is better than nothing. They also need to be raised with something else, and it is illegal in some states to take care of them. so be careful.

Kawaii! I have a ground squirrel! But I don't know if it's a richardson, or a columbian... He's so sweet... His (or hers) name is McQuizzy Nutmeg, aka Houdini! Do they like other rodents? Specifically guinea pigs? Any specific care methods I need to know to keep him happy? I've had him for exactly 4 hours, and as you can probably tell, it wasn't planned... It was I take him home or he got rat poison... But all the sites I can find are how to kill them... T.T

@Horser01 Yes, they do get along well with other rodents. I have my two with a prairie dog. They might get along with guinea pigs too. Do you have pictures so I can tell which species he is?

My mom had a pet squeal. She did not get is from a pet store. She found It heart in a park and help it back to health. An she kept it a a pet. It lived for a few years after that.
