  • I really appreciated this!

  • oh man, someone shoot the sound man. That is the worst sounding mandolin ever. I mean, it's blarring and distorting. Too bad, he seems like a good picker and with good songs, and, that's a nice vintage gibson he's playing. Doesn't do him justice.

  • Ohhh ... how I love the Mandolin ... love watching you play it too! Nice.

  • Ken's concert are actually an irish History lesson and he goes into depth on the tunes and their history. Kind of have to be there to get that.

  • Less talk, more rock.

  • 4 people are deaf.

  • No, it isn't. Not any harder than getting any other type of sound through.

  • Very hard to get a decent mandolin sound through a PA

  • Well, Im from Germany, and i play fingerstyle acoustic guitar by myself for 6 Years now. Everytime I hear this song, the beautiful sound from the mandoline inspires me to practice mor and mor. Keep it up, its wonderful!

  • What is the name of the first song? They play it all day long in Busch Gardens Williamsburg where else but in Ireland, of course.

  • im a o'brien gypo!

  • Nice job!

  • O'Neill's encyclopedia is one of my prized possessions. I only wish there were even more Carolan pieces.

  • These are awesome picking-skillsxDD

  • bloody hell that takes some beating well done that was great good on ya

  • when he plays the chord at 1:56 and again at 2:05 the distortion of the recording makes it sound exactly like a power chord on an electric guitar! hahaha. kind of a funny contrast. very beautiful sound though, i love mandolin music! well done.

  • a power chord isn't only on electric guitar you can play them on accoustick guitars and I wouldn't be surprised it there were power chords on mandolin

  • I know that. A power chord is just the interval of a fifth, and it can be played on any polyphonic instrument. I meant that due to the quality of the recording, the sound was distorted and I could only hear the root and the fifth of the chord, the distortion making it sound like an electric guitar.

  • okay I see what you mean

  • Nice arrangement

  • good one mate go raibh amath agat

  • i could swear that i've heard Silly Wizard play this song....
