It was almost inevitable, but the clock died on my machine a week ago. I used the cleaning method - IPA & scrubbed the board with a toothbrush. Worked a treat. There was some crud around the top of the battery / capacitor thing, so that got removed too. The amount of dust in the machine was amazing.
