Whoa I was only 4 months old when this episode aired! I remember watching this show when I was little, this and Vicar of Dubley (?), Mr. Bean, and Are You Being Served. Good shows, brings back memories. Lol I miss the 90s and being a kid.

Well the joke is that in the middle of her conversation with Hyacinth about committing suicide, she still has the presence and time to make a bet about what horse is gonna win the racing, i.e. the suicide is not as important as the horse racing.
