  • For a long time, I've had this dream of ridding the house of flies whilst not using insecticide. My idea is a tiny gun which automatically aims and fires miniature missiles at each fly, wasp, whatever, and kills it on impact. Obviously, it mustn't fire at people, cats, dogs, etc.

Until now, I thought it was impossible but after seeing this video I'm not so sure...

(My wife is not too keen on my alternative idea of encouraging spiders to live in the house and letting them catch the flies).

  • классная машина...

рассыпал на заводе мешок подшев и за часа два пересортировал весь рассыпавшийся неликвид

  • why should i need that?

  • you can have 3 different caramels and you like only the one of those you can call some friends that like the other 2 and have have a nice sweet evening :)

  • ok...so ni basically BLOWS!!! Multisim is one of the shittiest programs i've ever used, its the most buggy program ever...

  • damn. i was hoping for a whole river of ball bearings to fall out in a row and see that thing flutter around bouncing them into the bins.

    that would've been sweet.

  • Seriously, I am impressed.

    But what is the point?

  • Industrial use.

  • 106,000 viewer woot!

  • no they can use it to deflect meteors =D

  • lol

  • Are you kidding me? Do you not see beyond the demo to what the controllers are doing? It's much more than bouncing ball bearings. I hope you are joking... if not I think we've found our garbage sorter.....

  • wait a sec... TRASH DOESNT BOUNCE!

  • click many times 1:40

  • duh they could use this type of shit and improve it and use it to sort trash or soemthing

  • -_- trash does not bounce -_-

  • Nagyon faxa, tavaly láttam a SYMA csarnokban. Ütös kis gép!

  • watch and listen to the video atleast 3 times befor you post a comment thanks these apps could be used for so meany things

  • seems redundant

  • now the real question is, "What applications would a device/program like this have in the real world?"

  • they can use to see who has the bigger balls

  • ball bearing factory

  • i do not understand what the use this would serve in real life i mean when factories make ball bearings they make sets of them at a time all the same size so its not as if they need to be sorted

  • For example when making marbles some come out wrong and it could sort out those.

  • Does this work with humans?..... sorts people into categories? : dull, duller or plain boring! perhaps?

  • lol nice

  • Cool.

  • point???!!!!

    allah akber

  • Its cool, but what is the practical use for it? I don't understand...

  • for re4al what is it?

  • i think that can measure a moving ball bearing when moving, so later it can separate them by size :D

  • w8 what's ball bearing?

  • Psshhh, Aggies. LONGHORNS ALL THE WAY!

  • cool. heavy on the acronyms

  • Big deal

  • Gig'em Aggies! Whoop!

  • wtf does this ting even do... it just organizes balls like those queers...

  • in the future, or kids will look at this and laugh. A lot

  • I cant even imagine how much vagina they got after that presentation from all the girls in the sudience turned on by ball bearings, oh yeah!

  • you are a horrible, horrible person.

  • "thats a great question tim," haha i wonder how many weeks after building the system these ppl practised the presentation. .. ..

  • wow this will get them laid

  • Wow, this is the most boring thing i've ever seen.

  • God, doing presentations like that is so painful.

  • That was really cool cause it was like a lot of those Animusic things. ROCK ON!!!

  • if these kinds of people weren't around, you asssholes wouldn't have a computer to be watching this on, would you? technology doesn't invent itself.

  • i dont get calling other ppl nerds.. basically your just callin yourself a dumbass if u do ;p

  • I don't get it why all this hate. It's just a science project. This could herald better inventions. This project merely explores the possibility of near-instantaneous object identification, so it can be configured to suit other stuff.

And these 'nerds and geeks' probably get paid more than you. And not everyone is your stereotypical geek. Shut up and learn something from your efforts. Geeks invented the computer. Why are you still using it?! Get out of here.

  • y wud u need that? ill admit its a good invention. but for christ sake get a life u pathetic dorks

  • People calling others nerds behind a computer sceen.

  • man that was a good comeback dude all the way

  • n....e...r...d....

  • *people who are smarter than you will ever be.

  • Yet you are the one playing Runescape.... (idiot)

  • Nerds & Geeks

  • YourMotherO i think Your mother is a nerdy geek OHHH!!!! Dissed motherfucker!

No Scram because your getting on my nerves. Just because people are smarter than you doesn't mean that they are nerds.

  • By the way i chekked your channel and just like Nampuuku it seems you play an mmorpg.

Please dont call people that do something constructive nerds. I always hate people like you.

You sit on your as to accomplish Nothing absolutely nothing and somehow you enjoy wasting your time and fucking your school work just to level up a fake character. You and nampuuku are both complete moron's.

  • I am so with you.

  • porque alguem precisaria disto?

  • Awsome, now put a soft hand on the deflector and I'll run my balls through that machine. lmao

  • wow i can see how that machine could really come in handy when ur....ummm.........

anyway when they were saying all the big words you can see the audience nodding...yeah like they actually know wtf is going on XD

  • FFS, sorting ball bearings, great, why not a ramp with different size holes. That how they sort coal in the 1800s, and it didn't take them 6 weeks at 3 bits of coal a second. Please guys your bright, put it to good use.

  • mix that shit with sum m&m's and jelly beans and see that machine freak out?! error error!

  • Wouldn't that machine get bored after a while though? I mean, what a life... bounce you in there, bounce you in this one, bounce you in that one...

    Urrgh...

  • u stupid

  • you'd think someone reading a teleprompter would add at least some natural sounding speech in there

  • Industrial use most likely

  • kool but i dunno wut purpose sorting ball bearings have =p

  • it was just for the visual demonstration. and it looked cool, makes people nerdgasm in their pants ha ha.

  • ur gay

  • nerd talk

  • educated talk?

  • lol nerds

  • Damn, those presenters were cheesy.

  • cool

  • that machine is cool. i wasnt inpressed until they turned up the speed, but that trampoline thing can move FAST

  • Gig em Aggies !

  • YEAH!

  • whast the point

  • ... seriously?

It's a demonstration. It just shows how precise their systems are. It's not meant to be practical in it's own right, it's to give people an idea of what their systems are capable of.

  • Wasn't impressed until its speed was increased. Looks phenomenal.

  • Laugh and call them nerds if you want, but it's people like this who make your comfortable lives possible.

  • "i bet thoughs guys"

    *those

    You braindead monkey.

  • thx i am regarded as a nerd at school but i just made500 pounds from being smart so ha suck on that nerd haters!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • people who call people nerds are stupid.. if it werent for nerds you probably wouldnt even be able to comment or even be on the frigin computer

  • i love how all the retards speak of girlfriends and call them nerds just to feel better about their own lack of inteligence.

  • i cant explain how much i dont want one

  • hasn't this exact stuff been used in food manufacturing for years?

    way to go nerds!

  • is that a serious question. when do they are have meat fly thru the air get measured by a high speed camera and the get diflected into a bin. ugh never. ur a fag.

  • Nerd!

    Techno Dork!

    Mega Geek!

    Ram Lover!

    Dork Stick!

  • well if i want my ballbearings sorted i know the first place to go...

  • they are just demonstrating the power of the technology and created a working model so people could understand exactly what is possible with that type of precision.

  • and this is good for?

  • Seriously!! u need a girlfriend!

  • I'm sure they'll have plenty of opportunities for girlfriends when they're making twice as much money as you'll ever make, retrospective.

  • I dont know how long Ive been looking for something to sort out my ball bearing collection but you guys have just saved my life!!

  • Don't laugh! I manage a bowling alley; with some modifications, this could be to sort bowling balls by size and weight. With the addition of a counter, you could take inventory quite efficiently. A real time-saver.

  • would it be easyer to take a pot fill it with

holes to the size you want like a filter

so the balls can easy be sorted out that way

then to good thowe all this shit

  • ya that seems to be the easiest thing to do is to create a rolling filter of sorts with the 9\8s leaving first then a 1 inch then then 1.5 inch falls into another bin. why did they over think this so much.

  • Just to see if they can, and to get a better understanding of the systems involved.

  • pipe dream? awesome

  • That was pretty cool! Good to see we still have some bright people over here lol.

  • beaaaariiiing !!!!!!

  • that is amazing

  • fasza

  • cool woow

  • ZZzzzZZzzZZZZzzzzzzzz

  • the machine is fantastic!and the inventor must be a very creative.i am very interested in that .could you tell me something more about it? i like automation,i like illusion.

  • well think about it, if computers can react that quickly to movement, wouldnt that be just another sweet thing to chuck into a cyborg?

  • shoestring budget version: angled drain pipe, smallest hole closest to the top. bins positioned under each hole.

approximate budget: 2 seconds of thought.

  • Precisely what I thought. But then agian it's different when you have things that are not differently sized but differently coloured, weighted, formed etc.

  • scary technology when you think about it

  • only the omish would be afraid of that

  • Look out, here comes the ominous ball sorting machine.

  • haha

  • You need to adapt the machine to sort Lego or something fun like that.

That was a lot of acronyms all at once. Engineers love that stuff.

Texas A&M, there's a snake in my boots!

  • Im sorry, is this machine designed to pack Ball bearings???? funny machines, dull application.

  • how exciting wow weee

  • Just imagine meeting one of these guys at a party...

  • and the point of this is...?

  • hello

  • it's basically a sorting machine:) just showing off their machines ;)

  • That's bad-arsed!

  • If I had ball bearings to sort, I would use this product.

  • lol

  • hahaha

  • absolutely spellwinding! i'm flabbergasted that the compactRIO is so overzealous! great job A&M, its all ballbearings these days

  • Great job!
