I think you'd be wrong to dismiss anything that someone says just because he does not preach it. The best policy is to listen and analyse what he says. If you think he gives you good advice, you practice it.

He is a self-serving egotist under the guise of being a compassionate miracle worker, while Letterman wears his self-serving egotism on his sleave. Kudos to Dave. Big fan here and I'm a quasi-'Bible hugger,' i don't see the correlation between that and worshiping Dr. Phil. If anything, the Bible opposes doing so.
