  • where are the two long tentacles ??? please answer

  • where are the two long tentacles ???

  • beautiful

  • imagine yourself swiming next to that thing

  • damn nature ............ you scary

  • For everyone who say this is fake, you should look it up on the internet and you would find out that it is real! just btw ....

  • I would shit a million bricks.

  • Looks similar to a Humboldt Squid :) . But they could not move that agile ever.

  • It was a GIANT BULLWORM!!1!1

  • CTHULHU IS ON HIS WAY...

  • if that was anymore fake i would start to look like micheal jackson

  • @idk2say That was actually REALLY real lol... I see no reason why it would be fake, the extended tentacles is a sign of it preparing to eat, and even its tail fin is flapping to swim.

  • @thad1121

Yeah but squid don't extend their tentacles before they even get in the shot. It's glowing. And the tentacle/body ratio is off.

  • don't wanna be down there with these guys

  • squids just high on crack just like "HAHEEEEE!!!! VRROOOOMMMMMM!!!!!!"

  • zoooooooom.

  • kinda scary :o

  • Taningia danae is the official name of this squid. It's an amazing animal.

  • amazing!

  • that things scary

  • nice vid, only the colossal squid has 2 long tentacles

  • this isnt a colossal squid its a dana octopus squid.

  • I havent said that.....

  • oh my bad i thought you were referring to the squid in the vid as the colossal squid.

  • Hehe NP:p

  • "only the colossal squid has 2 long tentacles"

No, actually most squid have the 2 long tentacles except for this one. They call it an octapus squid because like an octapus it doesn't have the 2 long tentacles, otherwise it has a regular squid shape. Most squid such as the giant, humbolt, and other smaller squid and even cuttlefish and nautilus have those 2 long tentacles for grabbing prey.

  • Ooops!!!thx for the info

  • amazing!!!!

  • Um, I think the squid missed

  • they should get them in a sea tank but right water then investigate

  • They are still trying...

  • That was awesome

  • this is the dana octopus squid(taningia danae).this is the very first footage of it alive(and the only).this one seems agressive.

  • i dont think its an squid cuz all squids have 8 arms and 2 long tentacules thats why they belong to order:decapoda (10 arms).this creature has only 8 arms like octopoda(8 arms) or vampyromorpha

  • I think this squid has had some tentacles bitten off, pause the video at points and you can see one is definetly shorter than the rest. Don't whales go after these?

  • Sperm Whales do yes. But this is definitely a Squid. Mister Kubodera is at the forefront of Giant Squid research. His name can be seen at the bottom of the clip. Also, Octopi do not have hoods like this specimen so obviously does.

  • for the name architetius, which i'm presuming is a misspelled "architeuthis", you don't really know alot about squid. octopi do not have long slender bodies like squid do, secondly, octopi have webbing in between their tentacles, squid do not. some squid don't have 10 tentacles.

  • There is no order "Decapoda", it is teuthoids or teuthiids

  • It is called the dana Octopus squid, as it has 8 arms like an octopus, but is a squid. It may be a missing link betweent the two groups.

  • they swim tentacle first when they attack because their mouth is in the middle of their tentacles, thats why they are all spread out like that.

  • i didnt thing that was a deep sea one. i thought that at the depths the deep sea ones were transparent due to that they had no need for color and that some were luminecent. or maybe it can change its pigmentation to that color when its going to eat since its swimimh in reverse. lol

  • I think they only swim tentacles first when they're about to bite something, usually they swim the other direction.

  • I didn't think squids swam tentacles first either? must be coz its so deep.

  • lol that is scary

  • so pretty

  • very interesting.

  • i always thought they swam opposite to their tentacles (Head first) this is amazing!

  • SquId!

  • Scarry !

  • Yeah! I've been looking for this video for hours.
