I think it's a fantastic show and they all perform so well here, however I would've loved for them to have done the whole of that number as it appears in the show, its just a lot more impressive than that was, with the set etc. However very well done to the girls, they definitely deserved to perform a longer number at the Tonys. Although they saying that, they only just made the consideration for the Tony, this show deserved at least one Tony; love live 9 to 5!

I am so disappointed that I procrastinated and the show got cancelled, grrrr. Would have loved to see it. I wonder if the whole bway show is on DVD?? Anyone know of it being available to watch?? I sooooo wish that the girls would get together to make a sequel - if only we had Chris Columbus to write/direct, grrr. Still, there are some great directors out there and since the woman are willing to do so, it would be AWESOME for them to do a sequel to this great movie

I'm pretty much over Allison Janney in a musical. I'm so irked that they made such a big deal about her. She's the only one who got a close-up in this clip, she's the only one nominated for a Tony, she's in all the promos all the time... um... and she wasn't that good. I wish she would go back and do movies, because that's where I love to see her.

@OBCBW I agree Allison's singing wasn't great, but the way she acted the part was brilliant. I wouldn't have been so sure about Megan and Stephanie because although their singing was fantastic, they didn't really show off their acting skills that much.

yeah, the only ones who got their own performances were the ones nominated for Best Musical and Best Revival. Since it wasn't nominated in either of those categlories, it didn't get its own performance. I agree though, that would have rocked.

Sorry, can't necessarily agree with you on Marc shoulda won though. I love him, but I also love Gregory Jbara and David Bologna, all would have been good recipients.

Yes, this is based off an 1980 movie. Yes, Allison Janney is IN the show as Violet Newstead. Dolly Parton isn't, she only wrote the music and lyrics and was in the original movie

Yes it is! She actually gradated from my high school a while ago, and when we went to NYC we saw this show and we got to go have dinner with Lisa before the show. She was so sweet and has a great personality!
