  • Best way to practice this, split a spare deck you have, tape them into 2 blocks, then practice the motions

  • when i practice it i wish to cut my middle finger :D

  • those are some UGLY cards you got there....

  • Do anyone have the same problem that i got ? Short fingers. can't even do the one hand cut.

    ps. i am 20 years old -.-

  • @ArtsInfinity .. I had to watch it about 7 times over XD

  • how did i do it so that at the end the two halfs were facing different ways... -.-'

  • @LucyZini Umm, can you explain your problem a bit better? Based on what you said, all I can really tell you is to watch the tutorial again.

  • muy bueno! ya tenia experiencia cortando con una mano izquierda, derecha y ambas al mismo tiempo... asi que gane la habilidad necesaria para poder realizar esta floritura =)

  • i just started yday ... i bought blak tiger deck....and wen im trying to do these triks the cards are slipping n sliding all over the place lol .....u got ne tipss for tr beginer

  • @crazyboutgrime PRACTICE!!! Your fingers will need time to gain flexibility, and everything you do will seem difficult at first. But persist and you'll get it eventually. If you ever need help on a specific part of the cut, feel free to ask!

  • @ArtsInfinity ok well, other than practicing with the cards, whats he best finger exercises?to gain mre strength/flexiblity etc

  • @crazyboutgrime I never did anything besides practice with the cards when I was starting, so I don't think you'll need anything else. But I do some pen spinning now and that helps with strength and coordination, and you can do it during class! Haha. Maybe give that a try.

  • @ArtsInfinity im not in school anymore, but yday i sat and watched 4movies ad just played about wid the cards and can already see an improvemet

  • really bad tutorial its very hard to understand

  • Learning this is so tiring. You know.. having to pick up the cards every 30 seconds..

  • If this is for beginners then make a tutorial for newborns ._.

  • My fingers..

  • my fingers are too small *______*

    cmon grow quicker!

  • hold on im just picking my cards off the floor

  • I made it perfectly after the first time but I can't do it fast ^^

  • Man, i did this cut the wrong way the whole time.. thanks for showing me the proper way!

  • how do you do it so neatly? I.e. Without the cards spewing everywhere in your hands?

  • one of the best tutorials on the revo.. on youtube..

  • ok, I'm really having trouble (in the sense of, Im finding it impbossible) to complete the manouvre at about 0:30 , when I push my ring finger under , it just makes the top packet fly away lol

  • @evolveandrevolve Try starting with the deck higher up, closer to the tips of your fingers.

  • @ArtsInfinity When ever i move my ring finger, the top never goes on top always on the same side :(

  • @Ashton337 Uhh, could you reword that? I can't really understand the problem.

  • @ArtsInfinity when i push the bottom packet with my ring finger, it does not push all the way and the top packet does not go on top of the bottom packet and the cards fall

I think its because i have small fingers

  • @Ashton337 I have small fingers too but I think the problem is more about confidence and practice more than the length of your fingers. That said, I think I'm going to practice this with dominoes just to be sure ;)

  • Don't lose hope if you can't do it because you think your fingers are too small. I thought that at first and nearly gave up, but after a day of practice I have nearly mastered it. Just like the knuckle cut, it takes some hand stretching to master.

  • Good tutorial, looks like i'll get it eventually

  • yes!

    i did it

    thank you very much

    :D

    ~Freddy~

  • wow my hand are to small to do this

  • Great tutorial videos, helped me a lot! keep it up :D

  • Thanks man, I was able to get it by just watching this once. You rock.

  • @Geronimo2705 If there's a better tutorial, that's fine. But what "attitude problem" are you talking about? I'm chillll...

  • Comment removed

  • @Geronimo2705 I sent you a PM with a long reply. If anyone else wants to know what the reply is, just PM me and I'll forward it to you. (It's not an angry video, for the record.)

    (:

  • wanting brian to do a special video...special people .... somehow connect with him me

  • this is easy if you know how to do trinity cut

  • hm.. its difficult but after 15 minutes i was able to do this.. also it gets better and better. Very good lesson

    Thank ya

  • oh god, i'm not even gonna attempt this with a full deck, less cards to pick up :p nice tutorial btw

  • I cant reach the top packet with my third finger enough to control it and spin it around... is it because my hands are to small or am i missing something?

  • @YoungMagician9 Read my replies to the comments of this video. I get your question a lot and it's really starting to irritate me (nothing personal).

  • @ArtsInfinity Alright i finall got it from a different comment... nice tutorial, thanks

  • i cant do this at all i need help

  • @CODpRoS1 Well you could start with asking a question...

  • I tried. I got 52 pickup shuffle :P. Maybe in a few years i'll be able to do the rev cut. Or maybe just the charlier. I dunno.

  • Tudor may be autor of it, but he's a horrible teacher. All his instructional videos are amaizing, but, they teach like nothing.

  • thanks..i finally got the movement

  • Yeah! Almost got it! Now, finish the turn...

    *cards fall* DAMN.

  • nice tutorial thanks alot....

  • "Everything here is original or fundamental.

Do not ask me to teach someone else's flourish."

    You fucking suck.

  • @dajazman2k Uhh, alright. I respect your opinion and all, but what makes you say that? The Revolution Cut is fundamental.

  • @ArtsInfinity

Your teaching Brian Tudors move here? Did you get his permission. If your gonna claim to not teach someone elses move then dont do do it.

  • @dajazman2k No, YOU fucking suck. Does it really matter to you if he doesn't teach something else? O.o

  • can you use your right hand?

  • @Narimate Right-handed cardists should learn one-handed flourishes in their left hand. It may seem kinda odd, but it is more natural. Honestly, I can barely do a Revolution, Charlier, Hotshot, Scissor, etc. in my right hand but very easily in my left. And it's not just me. Almost all right-handed people learn in their left by nature. It's kinda weird. Obviously learning to do it in both hands is best, though.

  • @ArtsInfinity thanks

  • @ArtsInfinity i don;t think that;s true... i am right handed , and i learned to do this stuff with my right hand... later i learned to do it with my left hand... and i do the tricks with boths hands the same way.... it;s not if your right handed or left handed, it;s how you choose learn and practice...

  • @Ronnie9P I can do it with both hands as well. One-handed flourishes are generally not too difficult to be learned with the opposite dexterity, but it is the two-handed flourishes that are a real pain to reverse. By all means, learning this in both hands is beneficial. However, it is not as necessary as learning it in your dominant hand.

  • @ArtsInfinity Wow, I'm a right hander and never even realized i've been using my left hand all this time until reading your comment.

  • @ArtsInfinity i agree with the right hand thing... it seems almost like my right hand is just for support and my left is really doing all the actions most of the time( well, at least the cool stuff that i deliberately let them see, most magic stuff is under cover)

  • I am having so much trouble with this!!!! please help!!!!

  • does you thum have to be hold onto the bottom packet that u push up coz if so myhands are way to small coz i can only just do this cut with a mini deck

  • Not at all. For me, sometimes it just leans on the index finger. That way is not practical, but it does work.

  • Haha, nice video, it helped a lot. I loved how right when i saw the flash at 1:31, i was like, "Whoa, Wtf was that flash?!" and then you said "Whoa, Wtf was that flash?!", and yea, that was funny

  • Thanks, I can do this now! Only took me 2 tries lol.

  • It would be more difficult. Since I don't know how large you mean, I can't accurately assess this but regular poker size is best. Too large or too small away from that standard only makes it harder.

  • i have this "Diamond Black Club Special Cards" , they are from Las Vegas or some shit, anyways, these cards are a bit bigger than the regular ones,(width and height), would i be albe to do this trick with them?

  • the half of the deck won't lean upon thumb after i grabb the other half of deck with my index and ring finger, what do i do?

  • Pull your thumb a bit farther back so that when your ring finger pushes the packet back, the thumb is slanted and the packet will rest.

  • Is there a possibility that my hands to small?

  • Unless they're smaller than the average ten year old's, then no. It's all about practice. Even a ten year old could probably learn this with enough practice. Size isn't a factor unless your hands can't comfortably hold the entire deck. Try holding as high up on your fingers as you comfortably can, to allow a larger grip.

  • im with bakfiets32 here, when i try to push the bottom half with my ring finger near the beginning it seems impossible to get it vertical under the top half of the deck

  • aight thnx

  • so lets practice ;p

  • thats the problem I do have abnormaly small hands..

  • yeah i feel that my hands are small sometimes when performing a false cut!

  • Is the camera pointed down? So is it above your hands? Because when I try this, gravity is being a pain...

  • Yes, this is a bird's eye view.

  • Okay, thanks. Great videos by the way, how long since you started practicing for the first time?

  • Uhh... 3 years?

  • really

  • I started around three years ago, but I only practice a little and I took a half-year hiatus before I opened up my YouTube account.

  • dude i was looking your revolution cut and i think that the one i learned is easier, look /watch?v=4ao1feBrZ5U .. your tutorials are kwl, and ive learned some of them, but tell me.. if i already know that revolution cut, do i need to learn your's too ?

  • No, as long as the one taught to you was taught correctly.

  • SLOW DOWN JESUS

  • @Emboweler There's not much more detail I can get into.

  • best tutorial

  • is the size of hand a problem>

    ?

  • No, just practice enough.

  • at 0:42 i dont get that natural rotation... what should i do?

  • Please look a few comments done to my response to alleycatbeast4's comment.

  • @ArtsInfinity ok thanks

  • woho i did it :D

fingers hurt xD but i can only do it slowly,

  • Work on it. The first time is the hardest, but after that it's all about practice.

  • If your hand doesn't subconsciously do it, I suppose you'll have to manually do it. Just roll your thumb to the right to get the packet to rotate.

  • yeah it is alright u said "alright this is the revolution cut"

  • Hm, looks like i just technically can't lift the bottom pack under the top in the very beggining. My palm is too small, probably, pack just stucks.

But i'll try to find a way, yeah :D

  • I find it really difficult to get the bottom pack vertical at the beginning. It doesn't rise, but rotates. Any tips? Am I meant to be using my middle finger at all on this part?

  • Be honest with yourself, how short are your fingers really?

The Virts (a group of some of the greatest cardists) say that unless your fingers are amazingly short, then it's not a problem, it's all about practice. Obviously a baby with tiny fingers can't even hold a deck of cards, so size does matter, but unless they're shorter than short, it's no big deal.

  • Hmm. I cannot quite get this, I have everything up to where the bottom pack rotates upwards to the "v" thingy you mention, each time i attempt to get my ring finger into it, the top pack slides out of my hands. is this just do to lack of practice and unfamiliarity with the cut? Or something else entirely? I would appreciate some feedback. Thank you.

  • Make sure you have a firm grip on the top packet with your thumb and index fingers and then try using momentum to push your ring finger into the v quickly.

  • I had the same problem as zucker, and your tips worked awesome. About to get it now. Thanks ArtsInfinity :)

  • Well it's a quite basic move. Just play it back a few times and practice.

  • were do you get all these cards?

  • i have tiny hands when ever i move ring finger at the beggeing it the top packet falls off coz my fingers are to small

  • Just try to execute the cut as close to the tips of your fingers as you can without losing control or stability.

  • i think my hands r to small =P

  • Wow, I was wondering why my revolution looked so fiddly and awkward : P

This is the first tutorial I've found that really helped me, I've pretty much mastered it now. The OTS view point really helped, thanks a lot man.

  • saying things are "begginers" they're impossible, i spent like an our and i cant even do it slightly

  • Well to be even a beginner you need to have determination. Beginner doesn't mean everyone can do it right away. It takes practice whether it's beginner or expert.

  • when i use my ring finger to push the lower pack, it seem hard to push it verticle.. i knew wat happen.. i land the lower pack(left edge of the pack) too near my thump.. any tips ?

  • Just try playing around with the positioning of the deck before you start. (If I understand your problem correctly.)

  • damn, my cards keep getting messed up after i complete the cut. Any pointers?

  • If you've completed the cut... How do your cards mess up?

  • Comment removed

  • how do you mange to do all these cuts it is so amazazing lol

  • I've tried this soo many times... but i think that my hands are too small because the cards always fall out of my hands...

  • If you seriously practice, maybe a couple days. I never practice with a half deck (always full) so I can't be positive.

  • Your ring finger should press against the face of the packet and lift it up as you extend your ring finger.

  • nice tutorial dude

  • that is AWESOME!!!!!!

  • when i use my ring finger to push up the bottom packet it gets caught on my hand and the top packet falls to a slant

  • Keep your fingers as straight as possible and apply enough pressure. Other than that, practice.

  • i think my fingers are not long enough cause i can only hold like half the top deck in order to push up the bottom deck

  • at last after 10yrs of waiting:D

  • what do you do/use to get the camera that angle and wahts the black thing you use to proform

    Thanks ♥♦♣♠

  • I have a webcam with a clip that's supposed to be attached to the monitor to show your face, only I have it attached to the side of a shelf that's above my computer, so it points down towards the desk. No idea what black thing you're talking about.

  • he is talking about the black table or black platform you rest your hands on.

  • Uhh, it's just a desk...

  • Sounded like...ahrigh...so asian...lol

  • good tutorial the cut is so hard

  • It gets easy with practice. Work at it when you have free time and you'll get it.

  • finally! nice one.

  • good job

  • yes! thanks man, finally lol!

  • Kinda figured you'd be first to comment. Haha.

  • haha yeah..what can i say..i have no life. did you read my PM LOL!

  • Yeah... awkward...

You better favorite this! You wouldn't stop bugging me about it!

  • LOL!!

Yeah I fave'd it even b4 i watched it. I like bugging people, its fun...plus the main reason for me bugging you is cause no one explains card manipulation quite like you!
