The truth and fact is all of Turkic and Indo-Aryan ethnic groups share some common dance movements, expressions and some similar music instruments. This happens just like your languages shares the same vocabulary but with slight different pronunciations. I dance all of them and I need to know the definite and/or delicate differences and the similarities of each one of them.
magnificent! She is so expressive, delicate yet sharp and percussive, what a wonderful dancer! Commentors should stop arguing about Uzbek vs. Uighur, the borders and ethnicities are somewhat blended now due to migrations along the Silk Road, but if migration and ethnic blending can produce a wonderful dancer like Rena, then it is a beautiful thing. Thanks for posting this.
hello Azari, I recorded this dance from my TV, in cctv and I also need the original, i think that someone maybe can go to the channel, I'm peruvian thanks for any help friend, God bless youu
I read the last sentence and then i scrolled up and saw what you meant! But is this Uzbek dance? There was an influence on both sides between Uzbek and Indian dance.
Khorasan province ingolfed most central Asia, northern India up to Uyghur.
Daaf (Azari "gaval") is typical Persian instrument (influenced by Indian),solo Daaf typical Persian.
In this special video I see less Uzbek but more indian elements. All central Asian musics up to Uyghur have Khoransani base, instruments,Rhytm & rime.Ofcourse Indian,Turgic,Chinese,Mongul elements part of it too.
To see this, watch Iranian Khorasani videos and you will see what I mean.
how is the daf influenced by indian? i've been searching the whole internet for weeks and didn't find anything about india, influencing iran or central asia.
and what chinese, mongolian or turkic elements do you see in this vid?
You don't know what you are talking about. These dances are as pure Turkic as they get. Reason why you have similarities in dresses and instruments is because of Turkic rule in these areas for much of history. 7 out of ten empires in those areas have been Turkic. Mughals introduced these dances to India not very long ago(18th century), and Iran has been under Turkic rule for the past 1100 years.
Dap isn't "puuure" iranian! And all of them uyghurs from East Turkistan! If you don't know anything about other parts of world, please don't say nonsence at last. And dance is Dolan-uyghur also her costume.Actualy, uyghurstan is big.And we have different kind of dances, instruments e.t.c.And many times we maded great empires.Because of that lots of people from different places see some similarity. If you intrested you will find lots of info about uyghurs. best regards!
she's a famous Uighur dancer named Rena, and i know her personally so i can guarantee that she's 100% uighur, and the dance she's dancing is pure uighur dance....
Is all I could record from cctv 4, i look for the complete, dance, maybe some friend can go to the channel, to look for the videos, thankss frienddsss God bless alll!!
please please post the complete dance.. its great but it ends quickly and somehow disturbs the enjoyment.. also anymore dances or info about this performer pleaseeeeeee.

Armina0311 .. Iran is a "Multi Nation",we have Azari,Kurds,Lors,Bakhtiari,Balutch,Gilaki,Tajik,Ozbak,
Khorasani,Afghani,Arab,Asorians,Armenians and a few other NAtions.
Each has own lovely music, food and language, but all speak also Persian.
Depends music of what part of Iran you want to listen. All of them are wonderfull. I refer Persian (farsi) most, then Azari, then Kurdi, then Gilaki.
This one very similar to "Khorasani" music although I see Indian elements too.

Nothing to do with Uyghur.
