  • Boy we have a VERY similar style of playing. :P

Also the view at your apartment is breathtaking...I envy you.

  • Great loop man. Check out my DL4 video and let me know what you think.

  • of all the loop demo vids i've seen, this is the only one i keep coming back to listen to

  • Setup/ effect chain plz?

  • .BBE Optical Compressor......Ibanez TS 808.....BBE Maximizer....Line 6 DL4......Boss NS2...... highly doubt the ns2 was on though.

  • @TheRealJONNYBLAZE Awesome! Thanks Like the sound you're going for!

  • @TheRealJONNYBLAZE Rad Thanks!! Love your sound!

  • you can plug anything it that has a 1/4 jack.

  • alright thanks a whole lot for your help man.....I'll probably end up buying the Nova thanks to you.

  • I looked online at the Nova, I really like the $ price of it.....and the fact that it has the dedicated tap tempo button.

If it has the same capabilities as the DD6 (I saw it has reverse as well, and even a choice for analog), should I opt for it instead?

Would I be able to get the same delays, i.e. dotted 8ths?

  • I would really really look into the nova over the DD6 if I were you. And yes same delays, The dotted 8th on the Nova is really nice because there's a .8th mode/ setting and you just tap in the temp you want. Its a very Precise delay.

  • @TheRealJONNYBLAZE The only problem is the signal transfer isn't totally transparent in the Nova. There is ways to get a dotted eight with the Dl4 even. -PK

  • Thanks for the input, Honestly I have had zero problems with the Nova and noticed no coloration. I ususally have it set on tape, and have mogami cable in and out going to an AC30. Agreed that you can get .8 the DL4 but IMO the Nova's .8th much more precise, easier to dial in, just overall more reliable for complex delays. Some say that the Dl4 has a volume drop problem. Ill say that i did not have the issue on my unit.

  • @TheRealJONNYBLAZE We all have different issues, I am probably going to get a Boss DD-20, this or a Seymour Duncan Deja Vu. I like all three but my first pedal will most likely be the DL4 or the DD-20. I want to got to singular pedals not just my Digitech gnx1. -PK

  • Im assuming you want a digital for the use of the tap tempo?

  • @TheRealJONNYBLAZE Yes I want tap tempo so there is no way around digital completley. Anyway I like the ability to have a a digital/tape(or analog) delay sound. -PK

  • could have two delays on your board witch could be a plus. If your going to get a dedicated looper and and a delay I would consider using a TC nova repeater which is cheaper that the DD-6 and one of the best Digital delays I've ever used. Much better that the DD-7 I had. If you want an analog delay than I would check out the Malekko Ekko 616 which is a beautiful delay and cheap. You could even get away with A MXR carbon copy, I dont mind those at all either.

  • @TheRealJONNYBLAZE

    thanks for the quick reply...

so would it be better to just purchase a dedicated looper, and also a delay, such as the DD6?

  • Well it really depends on what your going to use it for, If you just going to be messing around using it for stuff like i do than just the DL4 will give you what you want. If your going to do alot of live stuff or be playing with a drummer I would think heavily about getting a dedicated looper because there is no time sync on the Dl4. The boss series (RC) loopers will give you that. Another way to go is to get a DD-7 and use the loop function on that pedal and also get a delay. That way you

  • you can use the DL4's delay effects while looping, right?

  • Yeah but its kind of sketchy cause you cant use tap tempo and you cant switch between the type of delay. But it still works.

  • you should make a instructional vid for that a lot of people would watch it i ve been seeing a lot of comments for that but thanks :)

  • haha I would but i sold the Dl4 about a year ago and replaced it with a TC Electronics Nova Repeater, and a Boss DD-7 (Which is now getting swapped for a carbon copy)

  • how do u make it continuous with out it stopping the loop?

  • Just put the Dl4 in loop mode, stomp to make the first loop and hit it twice after the loop to only play it and not record. After that you just add on by stomping loop.

  • Great stuff man, keep it up !

  • simple amazing, favorite dl4 vid up so far, i'm enjoyin the view of the city. adds to teh epicness!

  • that's not looping,

    that's straight up porn!

  • Very awesomee

    very cool)

  • This is real nice man :)

    I Also have a Tele, DL4 and AC30.

  • HAHa you can't go wrong.

  • Haha thanks man!!!! I've got a AC30 at my parents house that I decided to leave there. Im trying to protect it lol. And In my opinion and the fenders pretty decent for what it is. I would say the cleans are its stronger point.

  • Very nice mate, i also liked to watch the passing by cars trough the window!

  • AWESOME! Sweet guitar!

  • Thanks to the 14 people that actually watched this lol.
