my best guess is that they pretty much shot that one part of him jumping across cop cars,for promotional purposes only,and they also had a photoshoot when they filmed that,that was when they took a photo of batman in his new suit,and released it as the first look of it

if you want to see the graphic novel inspiration for the dark knight read, the killing joke by allan moore, heath ledger used it as material for his joker character, awesome. Also for a really good interpretation of harvey dent's origin as two-face read the long halloween by jeoph loeb and tim sale. Both of these graphic novels provided bits of inspiration for the movie.

For a two minute teaser... this gets the job done. This is very well done, the use of scenes and music, it all fits wonderfully. Would have made for a damn fine trailer.

Oh gosh...The Dark Knight was my very 1st time watching a Batman movie, I never really give a damn about superhero movies before, but Heath Ledger changed everything. The idea of other actors continuing to become other types of villain is okay with me but pls, pls, pls do not destroy the legacy of the Joker made legendary by Heath Ledger!!! *SPOILERS*i have a the full shooting script for the dark knight in a book. And in it it says two-face is dead. Its a real shame and makes me wonder if they changed the movie after Heath Ledgers(R.I.P) Death. It also makes me wonder if there will be a third movie, because with *SPOILER*Rachel dead, two face dead, and Heath Ledger for obvious reasons unable to return. I hope they do make a third movie.I just hope Nolan manages to nail it a third time and not taint my memories of Begins and TDK.

I completely agree. For me, it would be a huge lowering of my respect to Nolan if he had killed off Two Face. Spiderman 3 was the worst comic book film I've ever seen. The archenemy should never really die...maybe be put away in prison, disappear mysteriously, or something else super creative so there's always a chance for him to return. A lingering threat of evil is vital to catching the audience's interest.
Yeah, as much as I love Depp, a lesser known, but still famous but not mega-Hollywood famous, good actor would work.
Christian Bale, how many PG-13 movies was he in before Batman? He was famous for dark stuff like The Machinist.
Ledger, he was a huge actor. But he wasnt like Johnny Depp, he wasnt in Disney blockbuster films or trilogies, he was in Brokeback Mountain and stuff like that.

David Tennants might be suited for the role...hes not that big in like hollywood blockbuster movies but hes well known for this program in the U.K called doctor who. he also has the physiqe of a nerdy guy and is a pretty good actor.

that is completley false. christopher nolan hasen't even signed on to do another one yet. so until that happens decisons won't be made. phillip hoffman was asked to play penguin as a small role in this film(a throw in if you will) and he declined the offer.

there was not one bad part in this movie, as with begins. personally i think that gordon and batman knew dent was still alive and its gonna be a whole cover up for the possible third film and say dent perished and lock him away in arkham but people are going to start questioning how the people that batman "killed" have bullet wounds when he doesnt use a gun.

perhapes a remake of the not so good batman forever. i think the riddler would be great for these movies, maybe he somehow finds out about dent's corruption and tries to exploit it with clues? the story could go anywhere from here.
well i think that they showed the riddler in the dark knight. Remember the guy that figured out that wayne was taking weapons from the company. And said he wanted 5 million dollars. Then joker told everyone to kill him. Well i think that is riddler because he never directly said who batman was. he just gave clues. And the riddler is the only one besides Alfred who knows who batman is.
well ya. edleast in the older movie "Batman Forever" With Jim Carrey as the Riddler he did. Thats how they knew to go to his (Bruce Wayne) house to get him.
Also, if you read comics, there's a Batman storyline called "Hush" (it's in 2 volumes). Batman goes through all of this crap with Jason Todd (the Robin that got blown up), only to find out that the Riddler found out who he really was and was trying to rip apart his life. Pretty funny how that turned out though...
Sorry, but I doubt he's the Riddler. He never gave clues of anysort, his personality is that of just another greedy human, plus the only reason he didn't tell is because the Joker set up a new game. In other words, he was too pussy to tell. Lol. Also, Rachel, Alfred, Fox, all know he's Batman.

You should never watch the movie to sympathise and mourn the loss of Heath Ledger; You should watch it to see him at his greatest.
I don't think the Nolan Brothers will want to replace the Joker, for possible future movies, simply because of Heath's performance.
I am hoping that maybe they'll just mention that Joker is in Arkham Asylum to avoid having him in action.

Well, not that Depp isn't a good actor, but Heath is legendary, a legendary Joker, and that means no matter how hard Depp trys,
He'll be known as "that other dude" next to Mark Hamill.
We all love Heath Ledger but the idea of scrawny little Depp gives me the sense of a Jack Nicholsan Joker, than an Actual Heath Ledger copy.
Johnny Depp would play Riddler, or if we're lucky; JIM CARRY!
It still makes me chuckle of the idea of Joker smacking Batman with scissors

Okay For anyone who has seen TDK, Two Face is CLAIMED dead.
That being said, all they showed was him lying on the ground and didn't move, but it cutaway to Batman running, so that leaves a few unanswered questions does it not?
Nolan was smart enough not to kill Joker, but would he kill 2Face?

Nolan obviously dint kill Two Face, and his appearance was late in the movie. Unlike Spiderman 3, which pissed me off, they aren't going to kill the most loved archenemy off in few second scene

(it was never actually said that he was), but it blows. he was barely in the movie...i love that character. they introduced him and then killed him all in one movie. lame.

Agreed! I don't know how they will come up with the Joker's role after Heath Ledger's notable performance. But Aaron Eckhard's also was! Skipping such villains like those two would be a complete waste!

I completely agree. For me, it would be a huge lowering of my respect to Nolan if he had killed off Two Face. Spiderman 3 was the worst comic book film I've ever seen. The archenemy should never really die...maybe be put away in prison, disappear mysteriously, or something else super creative so there's always a chance for him to return. A lingering threat of evil is vital to catching the audience's interest.

I heard that Johnny Depp might play Edward Nigma, The Riddler, Angelina Jolie as Catwoman, and Philip Seymour Hoffman as The Penguin.
I think Johnny would be great.
Aaron Eckhart's character Harvey "Two-Face" Dent was killed off.

He's a good actor, but he needs to look like Riddler, not like a super hot pirate guy, a nerdy guy with mental illness.
He could do that.
Catwoman, I dont feel she belongs in this series of films.
Hush is an interesting villain.

Yeah, as much as I love Depp, a lesser known, but still famous but not mega-Hollywood famous, good actor would work.
Christian Bale, how many PG-13 movies was he in before Batman? He was famous for dark stuff like The Machinist.
Ledger, he was a huge actor. But he wasnt like Johnny Depp, he wasnt in Disney blockbuster films or trilogies, he was in Brokeback Mountain and stuff like that.
Depp is too big. It needs to be like a really good actor who 12 year olds never hear of like Daniel Day Lewis.

David Tennants might be suited for the role...hes not that big in like hollywood blockbuster movies but hes well known for this program in the U.K called doctor who. he also has the physiqe of a nerdy guy and is a pretty good actor.

Yeah, I liked him in Doctor Who, and he is kinda handsome, kinda nerdy. He'd be a good Riddler, but he'd need to be really good at being like his character and use an American accent. If he cu do that he'd be perfect.
I feel Depp and Jolie, while great actors seem too obvious. I'd want Nolan to shock people like he did by choosing Cillian Murphy, Heath Ledger, Ken Watanbe,Christian Bale etc. They don't sound like Batman villains. I remember alot of homophobia and racism after they were cast.

And I think a few not many but a few were upset that Bruce Wayne wasnt played by an American.

that is completley false. christopher nolan hasen't even signed on to do another one yet. so until that happens decisons won't be made. phillip hoffman was asked to play penguin as a small role in this film(a throw in if you will) and he declined the offer.

there was not one bad part in this movie, as with begins. personally i think that gordon and batman knew dent was still alive and its gonna be a whole cover up for the possible third film and say dent perished and lock him away in arkham but people are going to start questioning how the people that batman "killed" have bullet wounds when he doesnt use a gun.

ya thats what i think too. Two face was way to big of a villian in the comics to be in the movie for only like 20 mins. I think the next movie will be twoface and the riddler.

perhapes a remake of the not so good batman forever. i think the riddler would be great for these movies, maybe he somehow finds out about dent's corruption and tries to exploit it with clues? the story could go anywhere from here.

well i think that they showed the riddler in the dark knight. Remember the guy that figured out that wayne was taking weapons from the company. And said he wanted 5 million dollars. Then joker told everyone to kill him. Well i think that is riddler because he never directly said who batman was. he just gave clues. And the riddler is the only one besides Alfred who knows who batman is.

Also, if you read comics, there's a Batman storyline called "Hush" (it's in 2 volumes). Batman goes through all of this crap with Jason Todd (the Robin that got blown up), only to find out that the Riddler found out who he really was and was trying to rip apart his life. Pretty funny how that turned out though...

Sorry, but I doubt he's the Riddler. He never gave clues of anysort, his personality is that of just another greedy human, plus the only reason he didn't tell is because the Joker set up a new game. In other words, he was too pussy to tell. Lol. Also, Rachel, Alfred, Fox, all know he's Batman.
