I love the Aleksandrov Ensemble! With 80 years of history they are living legends, and I hope they keep their activities still for many years to come.

It was exciting to see the audience standing for this song, which they sing like nobidy else does.

the audience stood up because this song was the hymn of the great patriotic war. This war came to every russian family and there are no people in Russia who don't have one or more relatives died, wounded or prisoned during the war against fascism. This song (poet) was written just a few days after beginning of the war against the USSR and during that war it was played on the radio every morning after the kremlin bells' ring. The composer of the melody was the founder of the Red Army Choir.
