What this video fails to show is the fact that even if you do stay in the cab, you still have to worry about your head. A lot of forklift cabs are narrow enough and only come with a lapbelt, that the head can still move enough distance to smack against the concrete as the forklift hits the ground.
all deaths at work must be reported by law. just in case you were thinkin of shovin his body in a little lego cupboard & tellin his lego family that he's on a business meeting in lego Hawaii...
I would like to show this to a certain safety rep. When we were on the afternoon shift as soon as the supervisors went home he would not use the seat belt on the forklift. 5/5
lol!. :) haha

Turning with a raised load is an automatic fail on the test anyway. Funny how the seatbelt kept his hat on the second time??

A persons first instinct is to jump out of the cab, of any piece of heavy machinery but the roll over protective structure(ROPS) will save your life.

I like the Speed Racer "Mach 5" jump the 11,000 pound fork lift did over the camera. (yeah, I know it's made with Lego).
I'd say this is probably more effective than the other two versions I've seen.
