It makes you sad.....the creator of the music of Casablanca......went on to write the theme from A Summer Place (a wonderful piece) now only known as the frickin' Subway sandwich song.....oh well, can only hope that generations seek him out.
Excellent video. Is is being released on DVD? Max was 'there' from the very beginning. Difficult to imagine what "GWTW" or "A Summer Place" would have been like without his music. A true master.

Your tenure at RKO from 1929 - 1935 was one of the best for that studio. Your scores for Little Women, Sweepings, Stingaree, Christopher Strong, and King Kong were the best of all time. Thank you for your arrangement of Kern's melodies for Roberta (1935).
