Lol will you just gtfo? Im entitled to my opinion, theres no need to insult me and continuously respond to my comments liek a complete and utter twat.
I didn't see any more spin dashes then any other Sonic player would do.
I did see a lot of spin dash cancels used for mind gaming though.
Because of Sonic's move set, literally half of his moves make the spin dash sound when executed. Because the SDC (spin dash cancel) makes that sound while halting Sonic's movement, it causes the opponent to guard in reflex as a conditioned response. It's a very useful tactic for people not used to seeing a SDC as it is hard to predict his movement.
It makes his movement really erratic, but once you catch on to it, smooth sailing. Have the time they're shielding, so grab them. It'll make them think twice to just randomly fake out.
I'm having a bit of trouble understanding you just said...
Regardless, yes, by doing a SDC, Sonic's movement is erratic, thus making people who have not seen a SDC have a very hard time fighting Sonic. It is also true that people who have experienced this and are familiar with Sonic, or have simply caught on, will not be effected by the mind game as much. However, RATS does not us SDC in a fight, but moreover before he enters it, making the opponent guess when to attack or guard.
My buddy saw this video a while ago and he's a good Sonic player and started using SDC, but sometimes both my buddy and RATS seem to have habits with it. RATS will jump, SDC, jump again, and then really spin dash. You can run in for the grab on the first bcuz they will shield, or spotdodge the second. RATS did it various times. If the opponents was in point blank range, he would just spin dash through because shielding would be risky for getting grabbed.
That's true. SDC can be bad if you form habits with it. SDC is really only good if you know when to use it and how to mix it up to make the opponent give an opening. Usually RATS can do that, but everyone forms some bad habits that creates openings to themselves. It's really hard to realize then stop those habits.
Anyways, back to the main reason I commented...I was explaining to you why he spin dashes and SDC's so much. I answered that, so I really don't want to turn this into a huge argument.
Shugo is decent. Rats and Shugo are very close in skill level with sonic. However, I'd nominate Rats as a better Sonic simply cause he's sexier. That's simply my opinion though.
Rats uses a lot more mind games, making the opponent not know what the hell Sonic is doing or going to do half the time. Shugo has a more simplistic style, no mind games at all, and is more predictable in the long run. However, because he doesn't abuse mind games, he is harder to predict when he adapts to the opponent.
this guy is good anyone want to battle me .... i have won almost all tournaments (19W 1L)

...I could do WAY better than that with Fox. Are these supposed to be pro players or what? Because if they are... >_>
AfroOzzy 3 years ago
No offense, but I doubt you've played a Sonic as good as this one.
The Fox player did pretty well considering that Sonic punishes EVERYTHING
Hoidsa 3 years ago
Mm the sonic player is pretty good but i've seen plenty better with fox
AfroOzzy 3 years ago
The Fox player really doesn't know the match up. Watch Snowball Bob play Fox vs Sonic and you would know how its supposed to be done. In all honesty.

Half the time they're shielding from their spin dashes, that's what I meant.
