  • both learned directly from the sons of Ip Man. it seems to me illogical that any of us criticize their lap sau. they have many more years than us in this and their wing chun is more pure. for me the lap sau is very hard but who am I to criticize

  • they are amateurs .... the most of wing chun practioner cannot even grap the arm right .....

and i still don´t understand why the most of wing chun practioner ... don´t use a proper wu sao .... in lap sao .... positions angles just horrible they have to begin with siu nim tao again and learn it properly by a good sifu

  • @oyamarovic they are Samuel Kwok and Steve Lee Swift. they learned from ip chun and ip ching. I doubt they can find better sifus

  • why this power?.....with this power chi sao and feeling dissapear!

  • very poor

    also, where is wu sao?

  • Sorry but very very poor. No switch - no nothing. And I thik fast-mo

  • this is an excellent example of how not to do lap sau.

  • yeah nomg lap some associations call it Lok sau! just depends how your association looks at it it can be practiced sharp and hard as in the video or fast and soft! irs down to the practitioner really!

  • ooops meant to say beginners lol!

    my spelling is crap lol

  • biggers!!!!!! lol the guy with the dark hair is master samuel kwok! most senior representative of yip chun and yip ching! watch his other clips on you tube he is a true master! you people need to think outside the box and not at just what you see on the screen! he has many ways of training this drill! honestly guys!

  • is that the bon sau larp sau drill?

  • @kb198224 BUT HIS WING CHUN SUCKS

  • @samuraiakira master kwoks wing chun is the best!

  • defo beginners, loosen up & breath.

  • yes and as to the fist slamming the bong, it is pointing to the moon. The fist should be placed with the wrist on the bong and be used to compress or "test" the bong for the exercise. It's much better when done slower as many details are overlooked at this speed. Fine to play fast sometime but VT is not about speed it's about a refined physics/art.

  • they should slide over the bong sao not clash against it. I thought master kwok would know this, i dont understand why all masters clash when doing lap sau?? leung ting has the correct way o ding things even though he a fucking marketing sam, con, lyer, etc, he is still the best! unlike wsl and hte rest, they all clash when lap sau, WRONGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGG, no clash

  • why would you say they are wrong to clash, does it hurt your arms or something? And why would you think you are some authority to tell everyone else about a right or wrong way? And is it possible that there just may be more than one way? When you spell or say the word wrong, don't use so many GGGGGG's it isn't needed, and would make you sound weird, wouldn't it tttttttttt!

  • The bong is actually being used here to jam the punch, if you look you will see the punch does not have time to fully extend.

You can use the bong like this or with a turn, however as this is a bong lap drill, the focus is on the bong and lap. It teaches you to go with the force of the opponent if they move your wrist off centre, and replace the wrist with the bong structure so as to ensure you still have the centre covered. If they dont punch/cover the centre you attack their throat with elbow

  • seems like they're focusing so much on being fast that they make themselves stiff...*shrug*

  • looks like a bitch fight!! could still probably kick my ass though!

  • shit? is wing chun supposed to be that hard???

bloody hell it looks like a person i used to train with call austin goh, he was total shit! and taught me karate blocks, austin goh shit master he is

  • They are very stiff. That is not what good wing chun looks like. They may be beginner students, however. Most people are a little stiff when they first start wing chun, but over time loosen up and relax. This drill should be much more fluid. It is called Lop Sau.
