I cheated when I fought skeletron I went into the dungeon & took ALL the books I could get, I got the water bolt or whatever it's called, and I used it on him, worked great.

You can go into the dungeon & even downstairs a lil, just steal all the books, sometimes you get lucky.

If you have a lot of extra stars then it's easiest to just use the Star cannon. When I first played I just kept collecting stars for no reason and by the time I beat the Eater of Worlds, I had well over enough stars, which is around 100.

All you people responding to me saying HERO used heart statues when he was fighting all the hard world bosses: you're thinking of something else. HERO didn't use heart statues. He used graviton potions and a megashark. If you're curious, it's the featured video on the Terraria wiki at the time I posted this.

Sly, when you had those shuriken, you would have gotten him, if you hadn't fought him in the middle of the night. if you go there in the evening and fight him as soon as it turns night time, you will definetely get him!

I soloed Skeletron with a Minishark, 500 normal bullets, one of the "fat" 100hp potions, ironskin potion and regeneration potion and still had half the night to spare (also, shadowscale armor).

He's got end-game armour, wings end-game weapons, a mini-navi and a shit ton of stuff, with ivy whips, excaliburs to spare.

Oh and he also has a hamdrax.

Those who think Skeletron Prime isnt very dangerous, I can prove you wrong: Has 4 arms with about 30000 health each, a cannon, a laser, a saw, and a grapple thing. His head, when it spins, covers in spikes that deal tons of damage,and his head has I think 60000 health, and at daytime he one shots you. He is not an easy deal. You need at least a 5 person server with all max level gear. Good luck.
