You place your feet in a bowl of water to which a bit of salt has been added. A small electric current is passed between two electrodes immersed in the water, which soon becomes quite discolored. The color, of course, comes from electrolytic corrosion of the metal electrodes. These are usually made of iron, nickel, and copper, all of which decompose into colored ions.
@clover2810 If you do not want the brown color, use salt without iodine. If you have a machine, why do you not do treatments for several months once a week and find out if it helps, hurts or does nothing. Then you would at least be speaking from experence like I am. I have done it for 4 years straight and gotten amazing benifits from it
Instead of calling this a scam or a hoax please explain why. Youtube the process of electrolysis or "how to make colloidal silver". This will show you exactly what is happening that being (in this video) copper is made into nanoparticles and flows off it's bar into the water by the process of electrolysis. That yellow collor isn't from your feet, it's from the copper. I hope your kids don't have the same science teacher you did. Oh and FUCK the theory of spontaneous generation too aka evolution.
Obvious demonstration of a lack of basic knowledge of physiology and chemistry. This is a scam aimed at gullible or lazy to investigate on their own. All but a very few of the body "toxins" produced as metabolic products are colorless— suggesting that what you see during these "treatments" is put there for show.
@lavoska If that was so, then why do treatments given to different at the same time differ in what they show. Presonally, too much is made of the color change and you loose sight of the real benifits. I have done them for over 4 years and recieved amazing benifits. I have given treatments to others with the same final outcome. People said acupunctire was BS and lots of other things as well. There are scamers and lousy machines out there but not all of them are. FORGET THE WATER COLOR CHANGE!!!!!
The fact is that it started with the bio-energy therapy technology, BEFE which stands for Bio-Electric Field Enhancement. It is now referred to as the Q ENERGYspa or the Q. It is about enhancing the bio-energy which is already present in the water and allowing the person immersed to absorb the bio-energy.
All attempted COPIES of the Original BEFE technology are simple electrolysis devices and do NOTHING more than color the water. No bio-energy, nothing.
@VeryFlat Not only what you said, but the body then absorbs this junk which will then give you heavy metal toxicity. Not a good idea to do this at all.
It is a world wide hoax that even main stream doctors are falling for. People that should have known better. To watch water turn dirty, even without anyone in the water and still believe that the ionization technology is drawing out toxins from the feet. Come ooonnnnn.. How dumb do we have to be in our attempt to find that magical one time pill that will cure us of all our ills?
How could you fall for this? This is just a scam. If you really had that much toxic in your body you'd be dead along time ago. The water will turn rusty or change color defending on how much salt you put in it whether you soak your feet in the water or not.
I tried this today at a show,I am 33 yrs old, work out daily eat right, my water started out ok, then reddish green, then gross brownish oily bubbles so gross looking I could throw up.I am not kidding. What I have to say is this, there where parasites (worms) in the water.lots of them, my friends color was different than mine, she had then too. so where did they come from? the water also showed I have issues with my reproductive system.which I do. scam or not the proof for me was the parasites
They ALWAYS tell you they see parasites. Use your 5th grade science knowledge...remember when you first used a microscope? Any parasites in your blood stream would HAVE to be microscopic. If the particles they call "parasites" were actually leechi9ng out of your blood stream, you'd be dead from a strok ages ago. Things visible by the naked eye would clog up all the small arteries in your brain in seconds. They were lying. It is a rust-making machine. Trust me.
@eddybaby58 Eddy, just for the record, your body contains lots of different parasites, and they are not microscopic. Many are small and a few types can get out of the pores on your feet. Have you ever seen the bottom of your feet thru a microscope. Thje pores are huge, largest in he body along with armpits and actually, many parasites enter thru the feet so It shouldn,t be suprising that the congrate in that area and are easy to chase out of there.
Also the staff at the spa said they were curious as well if this was just a hoax. They put nothing in the water, just the ion thingy and they said that yes, the water turned gold brown color but didn't do anything else.
Then they put different things it in, (other than a human) and it still just turned gold brown but that was it. No oily bubbles, no thick goopy stuff. Just lightly tinted water. Makes me wonder.
You have to create a circuit. Put the "ground" wire they give you on your wrist, then hold a wire or a metal coat hanger (a conductor) in the water with your other dry hand. Watch the wire "Detox" instantly and make the water as nasty as the photos. It is simple oxidization of the coil inside the device...it is rusting rapidly as the electricity and salt water react. You can't use a doll or plastic spoon, they are not conductors nor are they completing a circuit. Simple 6th grade science.
@eddybaby58 Eddy, you have the circut backwards. The "ground" is to create a simple electroplating type process. The array creates ions with both a positive and negitive in the water. The wristband charge, in my machine it starts positive then turns negitive draw the ions up thru the giant pores in your feet, nothing more. The color is a byproduct. The ions work on your body for up to 48+ hours after you take your feet out of the water, eliminating thru natural channels. Forget the water color!
You don't need human tissue to make the goop. You need to complete a circuit with a conductor. Attach the wristband to a metal utensil and stick it in the water. Watche that utensil "detox" like a son of a gun....it IS fake.
@eddybaby58 THE BODY IS NOT METAL. it is flesh. not the same thing. You can get metal off a wristband but cannot create the effect you get durning a detox treatment. If the effect was the exact same for every person, you would have a point but it is not. Like everything, there is a baseline color change but there is also indvidual changes due to the person who uses it. The wristbands purpose is to draw the ions that are made by electrolis into your body. You test is actually meanless. Sorry
I really don't want to believe that something as simple as this foot bath can remove toxins from our bodies but when I am presented by some of these types of symptoms, it makes me wonder.
@tamtbell I personally did not believe it either BUT now after 4 years straight, I cannot see myself not doing them. When I miss more than a week, I actually began to feel the difference. I got involved with the field of whit did for me. Most body aches gone, I had hay feaver since I was a kid but haven't taken a pill for 3 years. I have treated fiber mialgia patents who were on the pain patch and after 6 months, they had almost aliminated almost ALL THEIR PAIN MEDICATION. And lots more.
Okay, today I did this at a local spa and I approached it with a very skeptical mind.
This is what I found. First, I got some of the same oily, nasty bubbles and something that I can only describe as black thick yogurt throughout the water.
Next, I ended up about an hour or so later with one heck of a headache that didn't want to go away for sometime.
Next, (yes I know this is somewhat TMI) my urine had an odd smell to it AFTER this treatment.
It does work. I own a salon and day spa and offer this as a service. I also do it myself. I actually think it's cool to watch this stuff come out of your body... and it's never the same from time to time. There is a chart that tells you what parts of your body is it pulling the toxins from and you have to keep up with it for 5 weeks before doing it once a month. It certainly is NOT bad for you... and is by no means a cure for anything... But you will feel better and have more entergy.
Since you like to watch stuff comin out from that thing, I strongly suggest you put your feet outside the pail and watch. Be nice to your feet. Simply Disconnect the 2sticky pad, and let the connecting point slightly connect to the water. You get the same stuff after 30 min. ha ha ha.
You are a moron. It is physically IMPOSSIBLE for toxins to come flying out of skin pores. This is electrolysis. Test that water, it's pure iron. I suppose when a car rusts, you think that's "car toxin?"
no, you are the moron....you sweat from your pores. Your skin is the largest organ in your body. Do some research before you dismiss new information. I have had this done four times. hi, i bought one of these last week and have done 2 treatments. i noticed the coil in the array had turned from silver to rust. Is that what was in the water? it must be. I really want to know i havnt forked out on something that is a scam. How can you tell toxins have been removed and not just rust ?? :/
1st: All the coloration in the water comes from the carbon reaction of tap water and salt being electrocuted. It's identical to the water discoloration on my HHO cell when I use tap water and baking soda! Do this test without your feet in it .. let it run for an hour just water and salt and watch what happens.
2nd: The company should be sued for hazards. The electrolysis of salt produces chlorine gas! That's what all those tiny bubbles coming from the ionizer are (along with H2 and O2 gas).
My family got one somewhat like this about a month ago at a helth fair. Its realy amazing what it can do. As far as the video... That looks about normal (from what iv seen) for what happens when you use tap water. To see whats going on with you I suggest you boil your water and let it cool down before pooring it in. That and test the water alone to see the difference with and without your feet. There is a difference!
I would just like to see what the results are with just doing regular water and I think they add sea salt too. Just water and sea salt and let the water go.. see what sort of reaction there is. If the water changes color its bullshit.
I would also caution you on making statements on something you have no expertise in. Some practitioners may be making false claims with this type of therapy, but there is definately a positive effect, we just don't fully understand it yet. As with all science it needs to be investigated which is what we're doing.
Many people are getting positive results. We don't always understand the mechanisms behind things in the beginning, being educated yourself you should already understand that.
I have been treating my patients with this modality for almost 2 years now with excellent results. We are also heading up a study on the effects of ion cleanse with diabetic patients measuring their glucose tolerance and a number of other parameters while they undergo ion cleanse treatments.
You should try it. I and my friends are having some amazing results such as, more energy, weight loss, pain relief etc... It is not bullshit but the water ends up looking like it.
Wow! What scam is that ION DETOX CRAP! I just got an article to read about this SCAM!
The detox is pure myth! Yesterday I tried to do the same 45 minutes session with my detox unit, and what a shock I got... The water was even worse then with my feet in the basin!
People, do not let the ION FOOT DETOX professionals clean your pockets and your wallets!
