Yes indeed. There are two Grand Army Plazas in NYC. The larger one is in Brooklyn at the entrance to Prospect Park across from the library. The one they are referring to is At Fifth Avenue next to the Plaza Hotel. Most of the kids coming would probably understand it better if they said it was diagonally across from the Apple Store, certainly a more famous monument for the Millennials.

Phil, what die hard New Yorker knows that? Admit it, you Googled that obscure bit of info. There is a fountain but there is no statue and that particular fountain is not in Central Park.

Would it not be easier for all the YouTubians to meet at Central Park's Sheep Meadow by the West 67th Street entrance of Central Park?

There should also be an alternative plan in case it rains. Phil, will it ever stop raining in New York?

I actually knew it. I did Google for the map coordinates. There is talk of moving to the Columbus Circle fountain, which would be easier for people to find, and it a better meeting place. Either way I will find the East Meadow (97th and 5th) on my own as it is just a few blocks from home.

Neither has South Tube 2 last year, the Paul Saints Day gathering last year, or the San Francisco gathering earlier this year. 888 was a very good parody of 777, I don't know anything about 999. 678 was catchy but it fit the time frame of a weekend. This is the only one that should have not been based on a number as the majority of the gathering population will likely be there at the end and for some confusing reason doesn't include Sunday so for many people it will be a 1 day gathering.

Have a great time CarrieLee - I will get out to a gathering eventually :D There was actually a suggestion by a local winemaker friend of mine to try something around here in terms of a gathering. I could get local producers to do special tours or winemaking explanations that regular tourists wouldn't get. Wouldn't happen until next year at the earliest though. Major plus is that there are tonnes of options for rooms - everything from guest houses to campsites.
