If you wanted to be conservative product-wise you could just put it on spots, but I put it all over my face. That way I get spots I already have and new spots as they form. :)

It does even out skin tone. I have a little bit of redness in my cheeks and I think it helps with that as well as fading scars, etc. I don't actually know if it will help fade tan lines from glasses since I don't wear them. If this doesn't help you with that I would recommend wearing sunscreen everyday to prevent odd tan lines. Eventually the lines will fade on their own even if this product doesn't work for that.

I can't say from experience bc I have some pretty noticeable ones but they're here and there on my face. If you have a lot but they're not too too dark (and they're not pockmarked, this isn't made for that, only pigmentation) then this should work well to lighten them. It's like tooth whitening; the more discolored they are the more you will need to whiten them. Whiteners will help with the color but if you also have tooth chips it won't do anything to fix those.

It does even out skin tone.
