GRAN RECUERDO.

  • @ponferman por gun no?

  • Fantastic song from GUN first album "TAKING ON THE WORLD", released in 1989!

  • Great song...somehow it reminds me God part II from U2.

  • I've seen them loads of times but only when Mark Rankin was the lead singer.... FUCKING AWESOME!!! Bring back MARK!!!

  • Saw them last weekend in Brighton, fecking brilliant gig! :D

  • Going through their U2 phaze?

  • went to see them in a little club in camden before they went on the gallus tour, brilliant live circa 1991

  • they should have stuck with the hard rock side than going down the pop side

  • The last time I ever heard them live was when they supported The Stones in Manchester about 100 million years ago...and they were EXCELLENT!

  • This band had SO much potential! Whatever happened to them?!

  • they are scottish and scottish things only tend to have a short shelf life....

  • Awesome Guitar... they sound so much like Def leppard here though

  • Not quite Def Leppard, mate, but pretty close I guess...

  • Support from Bulgaria.

    Great band!

  • heart this song

  • Gun will always hold special memories for me. First rock band I ever saw live supporting the Def Lep on their Adrenalize tour on my birthday at the NEC birmingham in ummmm 1993? Gun blew me away....one of the most underated bands around...ROCK ON Mark Rankin and the boys

  • this song rocks

  • By the way,I'm afraid it's "Barcelona"

  • Ups,sorry but.........., this is located in Madrid, Vicente Calderon, Atletico de Madrid stadium. And i must say they all become Atletico supporters......, i know them when coming last tour in Spain. Great band

  • yes. shame on you, bitch.

  • I saw them in 95, in Berango, Basque Country and it was magic. I can't describe that night but I know I won't forget it! They were and will be the best!!

  • Unbelievably good track!

  • can you feel the power when it kicks in???

    Feckin awesome song, cheers!

  • God I love these guys. The only reason I got into them is because their cassette was for sale for $2.95NZD back in the 80's and I bought it on a whim. Stoked that there is such a fanbase and vids on youtube.

  • total fukin quality exellent tune

  • U2 influenced?

  • it starts like "where the streets have no name"(?)

Too it sounds like Simple Minds or Texas

  • amo este grupo u_u

  • i still love this

  • whats the year of this song?

  • 1989/90....

    gun rock ning com

    gunrgallus fsnet co uk

  • each time i listen to this song... it`s like something it`s gonna happen.....

  • Great that they're reforming - saw them about two dozen times. Shame on You Mark Rankin for not taking it on tho!! Awesome live band - best gig was at the Barrowland in Dec 90. Aviemore was mental too - Status Quo stuff was hilarious.

  • should av bin massive!!fuckin brill!!!

  • i love it :-)

  • you´re wrong this vid wasn´t flim in barcelona, was in Madrid, in atletico de Madrid stadium, I was in this concert

  • Saw these guys live at Gateshead stadium with a crowd of 37,000 in 91'. They were supporting either simple minds or Bryan Adams cant remember which. THEY WERE AWESOME. I remember thinking they are going to take some following. bought the album and loved it to this day............

  • great live band.Saw them 7 times! Supported def leppard on the in the round tour in 93 and blew them away!

  • They supported Bryan Adams @ Gateshead in July 94, just before Swagger was released. I'm not aware that they played there twice or that they toured at all in 91..!?? Jimmy Barnes and The Pretenders were also on the bill...might even have been the day of the world cup final...if memory serves :-)

  • Yes I remember now, it was simple minds in '91. GUN, OMD, ROACHFORD (?) what a day.

You were right about bryan adams in '94, pretenders, world cup final etc.

  • Jools and Al Thornton (original GUN drummer) are playing with Blind Allez at Rockers in Glasgow on May the 9th.

GUN have now reformed with Toby Jepson on vocals. They will play the Rockradio Manchester launch on Monday (May the 5th). This is a free gig. They will then play T in the Park on the main stage on the Saturday in July.

The guys are also planning a headlining tour and some new material...

  • Absolute shame these guys were never big in the states. Takes me back to college, loved this stuff!

  • -Loved this band from the first day i heard them on the radio... Though the album Gallus was better ´cause of their own writing... ( correct me if i am wrong about that;-) Great music and performance, a shame they broke up, miss them.......

  • Gotta say, all the albums were all their own songs.

  • the best rock band ever, love them wish they would reform to make some more rockin tunes. i miss them.

  • totally agree nursey,,been seen them live in kirkcaldy in fife scotland...they were great,,,fireman Rob..xx

  • where about in kirkcaldy did u c them ? i saw them in aviemore, im jist up the road from kirkcaldy

  • Hi, sorry for the delay.. I seen them in the Adam smith theatre in the small hall.. Was amazing.. quite a while ago now..live near Glenrothes

  • aviemore was a free concert, its been put on you tube, i got right at the front i lost my voice singing, they were truly amazing, good talking to you small world eh!!!!

  • does anybody know the name of the album?

  • The album is called Taking on the world.

  • Esa camiseta del barcelona !!!,viva gun !!

  • Excellent song from a band that should have had more recognition for their art, each track on there first album had somewhat of a distinctiveness that other bands could only try to pull of, these guys rocked!!!

  • Hampden 1990, chased by the polis and rock steady for jumpin the fence, "split up, they can only chase one of us". Baby Stafford was immense, so was Keef. topday.Remember the whole of the west terracing singin "sympathy for the devil" i felt aas if i was conducting them, strong stuff that Glesga beer mixed with whisky......... "it 's hard to hide pain..."

  • they did support simple minds. saw them in rotterdam. holy cow what a band. so much talent. these guys rocked and really should have been big.

  • Gr8 song but the 12"version is even better.

  • This goes way back to 1990. They supported The Rolling Stones on the Urban Jungle Tour. I was lucky to see them in Lisbon in the Sporting Clube de Portugal Stadium. What a crowd, 60.000+. What a gig. What a performance. Miss GUN.

  • shiiiiiit didnt no they wer such a big band

thers like 20,000+ fans ther =O

  • The Barcelona shirts are a give away for where the video was filmed! lol!. Great song too!!, who were they supporting?, cos that seems like a stadium gig, and they sadly never got the sucsess they deserved to headline those sort of venues :(.

  • ahhhhhh rite i thought they wer the main headline band =S ="(

i think i was Simple Minds they wer supporting

they supported The Rolling Stones as well

haha i sound geeky XD it's cuz im on a site bout the band atm lmfao XD

    well gud band dude
