The 'Assassination' of Bin Laden has raised no discerning comment in the western media, just vulgar rejoicing (That crowd in Washington turned up spontaneously right?)
It is not acceptable that the Military knew the whereabouts of the 'worlds most wanted man' for over 6months and made no effort to take him alive? (so easy with Saddam)
His interrogation could have unravelled the entire A/Q network-and shed light on 9/11.
@MickyG4444 obama didnt do anything but sign a paper...n if it wasnt for bush we wouldnt be there in the first place....where does credit go??? us military
@MickyG4444 Everyone's so quick to pull out since we killed one man.
(Not that Iraq or Libya has anything to do with Osama or 9/11.) That's the biggest mistake we could make. The Taliban still rules northern Afghanistan. There's still a vacuous space where there should be a solid government in Iraq. Our job isn't done. And remember, we all share the planet. What happens there, affects us here.
@nexus1g You're mistaken not in believing we should help, but in your belief that we can "win" in Afghanistan. No progress can be made, we do not have local support, the Taliban is no longer an American threat and tribal violence cannot be wiped out just by flooding the region with troops. It would be easier to nation build from scratch but between the extremist islamic militants, the extensive coruption in government, and severe level of poverty, we are in over our heads, and it's costing us.
@nexus1g No we don't. We are fighting tribal warfare with local feeling going from mild support to fiercely against while trying to prop up a government that has no power to control its country and has squandered away its legitimacy with extensive corruption This is a sink whole for money, soldiers, and resources. Don't tell me we can't afford public healthcare but we can afford to fight in this series of endless wars.
@nexus1g We cannot win. You want to stay and kill our troops and thousands of others while bleeding our economy dry that's fine. Some problems are too complex to fix with troops and money. And to say "So people here can live more comfortably with healthcare" is such a margunalization of something that means life or death for so many people. If you think it's okay in this day and age for a first world county to let it's people die because they're poor... that's pretty messed up.
@MickyG4444 You *think* we cannot win. That doesn't make it true. And like it or not many basics of life are privileges, not rights. Housing and food being two of them. Always have been and always should be.
@nexus1g I'm not going to fault your idealism, but when you read about this war and learn what it actually is, you see a very different picture. Watch Restrepo, read the general McChystal article, learn about Karzai's government and the locals relationsip with the Taliban. You'll see this war can't be won with American military force, which if anything exacerbates the sentiments of the region. The best way to guide people to democracy is to show them what a good one looks like, thus healthcare.
Ron Paul is talking about your fucking foreign policy which kills innocents and gives more recruitment to the Taliban. So that's why they have lots of recruits.
Years in Afghanistan, US soldiers killed, and billions spent hunting down one man who was across the street from a military installation...was it worth it? People think it's over well, it's just the beginning! Ron Paul 2012
@Marakulous43 Idiot, Ron Paul was right. Osama wasn't in Afghanistan.
Fucking retard, you are probably going to vote Obama. I could care less what happens to your country. Go ahead and sell yourselves into corporate and globalist slavery.
@UnbiasedLogic Well if George Bush had not gone to Iraq we would've gotten him 6 YEARS AGO while he was in....you guess it...AFGHANISTAN!!! So FUCK what RuPAUL has to say, he talks the talk but doesn't walk the walk. And for your info, I am ineligible to vote but if I was YOU'RE DAMN RIGHT I WILL BE VOTING FOR THIS MAN!!!
And yet silly Americans chant "USA, USA" about Osama being dead, as though it means ANYTHING or has ANYTHING to do with our country, 911, or the safety of our own people. It's a diversion, a distraction and the couple of comments below prove this. Killing Osama means nothing, other than we will be more hated and laughed at more. Look into history, please. That is what Ron Paul is talking about, do you people celebrating Osama's death even KNOW the history?
I think they thought of Obama as his name from Osama lol I'm being serious as well, i really do believe they made a quick name up and changed a letter in his name fooling the masses with this shit!!!!
yup, the taliban is laughing at us because we are practically took over their country and took their power away from them. Ron Paul gets his vote by saying shit about the US. dont know how it works but people like candidates who are outside the box.
Ron Paul is a Republican Corporate Ass-Puppet! He is another Ronald Reagan! Only ignorant conspiracy theorist follow this guy. Have a look into the 14th district to Texas. Have a look at the refineries of BP, Exxon, etc.. in his region. He wants LESS regulation on OIL AND DRILLING. Great, if you listen to him, we will have more and more corporate corruption and more oil spills..
that's a pretty weak argument against probably the only congressman who has any credibility.. IF Exxon,BP like Ron Paul so much why didn't they donate to his campain?
here in los angeles, a politician named mark ridley thomas was approved to spend $700,000 to 're-do' his office. this approval went through on nov. 2009. CAN U BELIEVE IT. california is in a financial meltdown and thomas wanted to spend almost three quarters of a million on office reenovation.

But yeah lets not go after the organization that killed 1000's of people in New York, Pennsylvania and the pentagon.Genius.
anyone who disagrees with this vid should make an appointment with ron paul he can perscrible logic pills to be taken proably for the rest of your life
I don't think that seeing action changes the fact that it is a chess game. Unfortunately the military are just pieces on the board. Not sure how a military or non military person would not recognize that.
well when your the sacrificial pawn you seem to notice the difference . I was drafted into Nam so maybe my views have been altered. but I'm sure you , mobil exxon and the military complex see it as a chess game
Totally agree. But even a pawn must realize when he is a pawn. If all the pawns got together maybe they could control the game and make the world better.
He makes a valid point, we once called the gorilla fighters of Afghanistan freedom fighters, when they engaged Soviet troops. Now we call them terrorists.
In Vietnam, when the French failed, we tried our hand in things and failed as well. Now much as the Soviets failed, we are destined to repeat history once again. Occupied people always resist and can not be defeated without a declaration of total war, complete carnage, savagery, and enslavement. We won't go that far, so we will lose.
thats the point , now we are fight ing the same people we gave the weapons to,we will never have a stable gov in Afgan , as long as Unocal Karshi is sukin up to warlord poppy and Masharif playing to the MIC it will go on fUcK!
@beefspareribs "He makes a valid point, we once called the gorilla fighters of Afghanistan freedom fighters, when they engaged Soviet troops. Now we call them terrorists."
Yes, we called the guerrilla fighters in Afghanistan freedom fighters because they were fighting to keep the U.S.S.R. from gobbling them up. (Forced atheism in a Muslim nation? Yes, that's what they wanted.) Now they're attacking us because we pulled their support when they overstepped their bounds. Makes sense.
"I was not involved in the September 11 attacks in the United States nor did I have knowledge of the attacks. There exists a government within a government within the United States. That secret government must be asked as to who carried out the attacks. The American system is totally in control of the Jews, whose first priority is Israel, not the United States."
Pragmatically- who cares if the world loves the USA? Power is not about being loved it's about having control. And where would you rather sit, in the throne or in the dungeons?
So you feel that it's "ok" to steal the wealth of the American people and give it to the private military contractors and industries. There is not any point in winning that war. The point is to continue it as long time as possible. In Israel the strategy is the same. It would just be horrible if there would be peace, as all the US military and economic support would end. The point is to drain as much funds from the American people (and others) as possible.
What your suggesting has merit. I do not think it is 'ok' to steal the wealth of the American people, but the bigger picture for the American people is to maintain strategic control of an area with easily accessible oil. This will be especially beneficial if the time comes to move into Iran as the US will then have its energy problems solved and will make an ongoing military operation much easier.
Ultimately it doesn't matter 'why' this will continue, the point is that it 'will' continue.
I'm not sure where you are getting that from. My point is simply that as an Empire the US needs strategic power bases throughout the world, similar to any Empire.
It's the same reason why the US wants increased presence in Eastern Europe, and why Russia is so angry about this prospect.
You are assuming that all Americans are behind the reckless military spending and empire building. I believe that, this is not the case. The average American have very little opportunity to actually oppose these policies. As I said earlier the motivation is not to win the Afghanistan war, but the steal from the American people. In the end I think that also you will understand this.
I don't think I ever indicated that Americans are behind the reckless spending. However, as much as the american people may claim to be peace loving and want equality they need to recognize that it is better to be them, on top of the world than on the bottom. And as long as there are nations there will always be rulers. Personally I would rather be the ruler than the ruled so perhaps the people should count their blessings that they run the show.
Id rather sit on the throne of truth and justice whats right. You would probably be one of the Nazis who says Id rather sit on the throne and let the jews sit in the dungeons. Its not all about self preservation. And letting others die. Why cant we all live. People dont like the US because we rape other countries land and take their resources for our own and try to establish ourselves where we dont belong fighting undeclared wars for indefinite periods of time. Sounds like a EMPIRE if you ask me
I agree that in a perfect world we should all just 'live' but as long as there's been man there has been the need for power and that causes war and suffering.
And you are correct, it IS an empire, but until there is no more power struggles on the planet someone will always try to take over and kill innocent people
I didnt say you were a Nazi. And it dosent matter what country your from. It just kinda makes me mad that so many Americans turn a blind eye to what we do to other countries. And the motto is "Were spreading peace and democracy ect ect "its all a load of crap!
You are totally correct, but unfortunately it is not different than retail sales- they have to 'sell it' to all of us. Fortunately, I think people are starting to smarten up to the game. I keep waiting for the world to change
Me to and Im glad for the internet so people can get some real knowledge not the processed stuff se get on tv its like a steak and a hot dog. You never know whats really is in a hotdog. But a steak is clean cut just like the truth
Don't worry this will get much more expensive, than the 30kUSD. Perhaps there would be a cause, if it only would benefit the population and not the western drug cartels and the private war machine. It is always easy to spend other peoples money.
Then there is the aspect of killing civilians. It must be horrible to loose kids, a brother or sister.

Then there is the aspect of killing civilians. It must be horrible to loose kids, a brother or sister.
