I love the prayer wheel. I keep looking for them in nature - Waves/no Wind/no Perpetual/no. Man is in need of a "Windmill Prayer Wheel" I have an idea for a "Windwill Causeway" 1000's of small turbins line the roadway across the bay. Texas is going to build a second one way not a Utility
I would imagine that someone that gets it wouldn't be irritated by the behaviors of others... would you not agree? otherwise we must hold different definitions of what getting it means. i believe that a integral essence of "getting it" involves the absence of dependence on other people's reactions.
and additionally, i am not expressing a judgement on this form of belief... or siding with anyone in the video... just pointing out a undeniable observation that doesn't belong to someone of "enlightened" stature. But then again i was the one projecting him to represent himself as "enlightened", when he obviously is not for he is still affected by mere matters such as an interviewee...
additionally i perceive him to have an underling negatively inclined outlook to life as being, in essence, hard and full of suffering,... unable to see past that, realizing the integral beauty and lightness to the matrix, and the affect consciousness has been demonstrated relentlessly to have on sub atomic matter, which everything is composed of.
represent himself as "enlightened", when he obviously is not for he is still affected by mere matters such as an interviewee...
He is very much aware and never claimed to be enlightened. As long as we live in this plane we will be affected by the material. Being in the world but not of it, is the thing.
Word i agree, he doesn't say he is enlightened, but then again, he doesn't seem very close to it. if your emotions can be influenced like that by an interviewee, then how is he aware? the whole idea behind being aware, or some say enlightened is not to let other things effect your inner essence, which is outside the realm of physical nature. aka,,,an interviewee not affecting your emotional experience... that's at least the way i understand it...
if your emotions can be influenced like that by an interviewee, then how is he aware?
If you listen to the 1st part he talks about the Kennedy assassination and toward the end he talks about watching the twin towers coming down and he was able to see beyond the bs when others around him had no clue.
That is a good observation that it could quite possibly indicate that as a motive at at least some level. The fact that i expressed an analysis on the matter signifies that i have thought about this issue at some time or another, even arguably (that it is indeed the case) that i have felt exactly what i am expressing. thanks for your feedback.
However i'm not sure and I would be reluctant to conclude (although it could still be the case) that this indicates my dependence on the others reaction... some people behave in certain manners in an attempt to help others overcome personally understood struggles... i guess one difference is that i explain my point (premise) that leads to my conclusion without presenting it as being fixed, and the other just his/her fixed conclusion.
do you thumb me down because i make an obvious observation that you are trying to convince yourself is not actually there? are you in fact thumbing me down in an effort to convince yourself its not true? you wont achieve that self-identity validation through controlling others beliefs to be consistent to yours. who are you trying to convince? and how can you do that? i would recommend meditating...
This comment has received too many negative votesshow
For an 'enlightened' man he's got pretty nervous fingers. Counting beads on a mala must be one of the most stupid religious practices there are. You can train a monkey to do that.
@hyperswivel. I'm glad you liked Bhagavan Das. And as the title of my show is "Meetings with Remarkable People," not a "Really Remarkable Person Meeting with Other People" I feel like I have not missed the mark. Tell me more about what I said that was particularly unenlightened.
in order to do this I had to keep pushing through all kinds of resistance but I finally got it and instead of Amma (who I see you have a tribute to) giving us a few minutes, she kept calling Alan back and we got over 15 precious minutes
too bad this chick didn't have enough brains to do this without the swatstika in the background. I know it's an Indian thing as old as 3,000 years...but still. let's be more conscious. we don't need it there.
Well, beloved sister- I dreamt of the event a week beforehand- as I did for the tsunami in Indonesia and a myriad of other things that did come to pass. I expected this to occur.
Even without knowing his story, the first time I saw him, I felt repulsed. I respect the spiritual achieivements he probably experienced, but I think the whole guru thing is a bit anachronistic. The present time is all about empowering the individual, not in a narcisitic way, but in a way that gets your personal power back.
yes, he fell...but he fell from a higher place then most people get to experience...so at the least we must respect what he once had...i seriously doubt that any of the negative commentators have ever accomplished anything in their own lives worth mentioning.....
Oh thanks. I did not know that I have a Divine Mother and that I have to remember her even when I am talking to other people, instead of being fully just in the talking.
Good to know that I will encounter her at least in death.
oh I forgot....he also does it for the entire world...it is a pleading for Her to take care of Her creation and that we be given the understanding why assholes leave disingenuous comments
lol ! it is a spiritual practice to remember the divine mother who we are ever moving towards when we finally encounter her in death...(we have much to do until then)
I was just trying to understand why white people are enamoured by yoga and tantras, is it just sex or something else, in India we dont care them, its only the aryan hindus who love such stuff who love hitler and hitler is a hero in history books of Indian states like gujarat.sorry dont live in NYC but in redsox state.
Thanks for doing the interview. BD is very cut and dry, but he is one potent teacher. His book is mind-blowing and highly recommended. I would like to hear more of him speaking on varied topics. Jai Ma.
yeah aghoris aren't the polite conversation guys...I didn't mind the interview...I know he didn't like the master I studied with but then again not many do...ha-ha :)
The more I watch this video the more I like him. I was put off early by his fidgeting, but now I really enjoy it. I even ordered his book. I didn't understand what he meant by Aghori at first, but now I know he doesn't mean living in a cremation grounds, but just embracing everything and viewing nothing as too profane, doing what he feels like. There's alot to be gleaned from this video.
you should know that what he said about 9/11 is not the entire picture of what happened that day with him. i know this... because i was there - he was staying at my apartment in manhattan, after a kirtan at jivamukti. i was there on the rooftop of my apartment building, and he was there next to me.
there's more to the story. what you hear here is not all.
Well, good luck on that. He said he knew no planes hit because that's what he saw inside his meditation at the time in N.J. His best friends to be cautious/take w/grains of salt nowadays. If he clears this up w/folks he may get his reputation back. He is loved though. It's easy to get off track, just dangerous when you are a spiritual leader/guide/example. Vulnerable people's lives are at stake. Just like religion- somewhere along the line someone took a left turn w/out knowing it.
he was *not* in NJ at the time, he was in my apartment on Saint Mark's place, in Manhattan. in fact when telling his version of events, he initially mentions "that rooftop" and then changes the details. that's because it was on *my* rooftop, and his story of people "rushing to the tv" is false. i am deeply disappointed he has chosen to do this.
(and I have photographic evidence of this, by the way)
Dhai Akshr prem ka Padhe so pandit hoi.( By reading tome of scriptures no body becomes learned, one who can read four letters of love is a learned person in true sense)
you have to be kidding? "you have an encyclopedic knowledge of India". This trippy dude doesn't have an encyclopedic knowledge of anything. Either do the chicks. Yikes.
You two should have prepared instead of interviewing your brother.
Am curious what Karoli Baba said about Kali. Did you switch or just add Kali to the Hanuman . Its clear to me Nem had become a channel for Hanuman ,many will agree and have seen. I'm not against Kali since she represent reality , specailly durring Kali Yuga--- i just wondered why you put her before Hanuman? or am i off base here? Am curious ,thats for sure. I can be emailed thru utube (if your around) Peace Brother , and thank you so much . TimFix is Tom Fox
I know most here will laugh at me but I beleive what the bible say's and It warns us against yolking with pagan gods and these names they call on are actually demons I will pray for all those who are misguided by satan.
God is only one in spirit, but in India any devotee can worship God in his or her different aspects of manifestations in the universe. Everything was created by God, so we are part God.
God is invisible and visible, God is personal and impersonal. Personalities has no meaning for God
Bhagavan Das has extreme Devotion and Love. It was such a pleasure to sing and chant the Divine Names with him. So much shakti! I listen to his kirtan cd's almost constantly.
Bhagavan seems to displaying a fake identity. Other than how he presents himself of a look of a great lama, focusing on his words his knowledge seems limited there is lacking a deeper understanding and wisdom. He doesnt explain things in greater detail there is lacking concentration.
many people can profess to be spiritually awake and pretend to be spiritual teachers... when I hear Bhagavan Das chant, all i hear is a prayer and submission to God. That is all I need to to know about him... everything else is just fodder for human drama.
Because the man is older than dirt. Besides all those drugs he did in the 60's and 70's must have taken a toll on his mind. its just amusing to me he is so out of time. He is still in the 60's
Hes not in the 60's hes in dec 2006...You think hes in the 60's because the 60's was when a huge spiritual boom came to the west and everyone had different values than the dominator style because more people practiced spirituality...hes here now and because of that hes has different values then people not here now...The Infinite Now is always going on regardless of the number equated with it..i.e. 2006 or 1960
I have just ordered Bhagavan Das book online and am looking forward to reading it.
The person that bought my cameras has not given me the money that he owes. I mentioned this to you a few weeks ago. I was hoping that it would not come to this. All my plans for travel have to be postponed for the foreseeable future. I just hope the spirits are not trying to tell me to get lost with these problems. I hope it is just a test.
did you look over the comments on part 1? One fellow thinks BD is a fake, I think a huckster he said? it is good that you leave comments about what you feel...I'm open
it is posted above...I called that one "The Wait for Bhagavan Das is Over!" because he was a no-show on Monday and we made a bunch of vids called "Waiting for Bhagavan Das" this is a play on the old understanding that the encounter with the guru is very hely and special and you have to wait until you are ready. "When the student is ready the master appears"
Its better to get to know yourself by knowing just how much jealousy, lust, anger, pride, and sloth we have, than learning how to act like we don't have these things in us. Baba puts his shit out for everyone to see. He hides behind no mask. I witnessed this first hand. One of the least phony people i know. My time with Baba (going on 10 years) taught me to learn how to embrace my shadow. In doing so, i am better able to have compassion and love for other's struggles. A valuable lesson indeed.

yet you take anyone who gives you a thumbs down to task. A strange way to show "an absense of dependence on other people's reactions"
hyperswivel 1 year ago
That is a good observation that it could quite possibly indicate that as a motive at at least some level. The fact that i expressed an analysis on the matter signifies that i have thought about this issue at some time or another, even arguably (that it is indeed the case) that i have felt exactly what i am expressing. thanks for your feedback.
mufalmewww 1 year ago
However i'm not sure and I would be reluctant to conclude (although it could still be the case) that this indicates my dependence on the others reaction... some people behave in certain manners in an attempt to help others overcome personally understood struggles... i guess one difference is that i explain my point (premise) that leads to my conclusion without presenting it as being fixed, and the other just his/her fixed conclusion.
mufalmewww 1 year ago
do you thumb me down because i make an obvious observation that you are trying to convince yourself is not actually there? are you in fact thumbing me down in an effort to convince yourself its not true? you wont achieve that self-identity validation through controlling others beliefs to be consistent to yours. who are you trying to convince? and how can you do that? i would recommend meditating...

For an 'enlightened' man he's got pretty nervous fingers. Counting beads on a mala must be one of the most stupid religious practices there are. You can train a monkey to do that.
coffinthief 2 years ago
He's not "counting beads", as with a rosary, it's used to keep track of how many repititions of a mantra one's doing.
It trains your "monkey" :-)

@hyperswivel. I'm glad you liked Bhagavan Das. And as the title of my show is "Meetings with Remarkable People," not a "Really Remarkable Person Meeting with Other People" I feel like I have not missed the mark. Tell me more about what I said that was particularly unenlightened.

if you truly believed this, you'd spend less time talking and arguing and more time listening.

Ok here is an example /watch?v=JTh4MXQ8H2I
in order to do this I had to keep pushing through all kinds of resistance but I finally got it and instead of Amma (who I see you have a tribute to) giving us a few minutes, she kept calling Alan back and we got over 15 precious minutes
rabbitholecentral 2 years ago
too bad this chick didn't have enough brains to do this without the swatstika in the background. I know it's an Indian thing as old as 3,000 years...but still. let's be more conscious. we don't need it there.
govindaartman 2 years ago
you prefer to give it to Hitler? Knowledge needs to be protected and once done protects you.
There is power in the yantras and we are impotent without power to achieve the greatest spiritual abilities to create new realities.
Your observation, commonly held keeps weakness in place. that is that spiritual accomplishment has nothing to do with material movement.
The swastika is the "fiery cross", the constant movement of creation and of good and evil reminding us to move beyond it.

Too bad he got off track somewhere along the line. He says he knows no planes went into the twin towers because of his inner sight. LOL!!!
ArgotMay 2 years ago
and where was your outer sight that day?
rabbitholecentral 2 years ago
Well, beloved sister- I dreamt of the event a week beforehand- as I did for the tsunami in Indonesia and a myriad of other things that did come to pass. I expected this to occur.
ArgotMay 2 years ago
Even without knowing his story, the first time I saw him, I felt repulsed. I respect the spiritual achieivements he probably experienced, but I think the whole guru thing is a bit anachronistic. The present time is all about empowering the individual, not in a narcisitic way, but in a way that gets your personal power back.

yes, he fell...but he fell from a higher place then most people get to experience...so at the least we must respect what he once had...i seriously doubt that any of the negative commentators have ever accomplished anything in their own lives worth mentioning.....

Good to know that I will encounter her at least in death.

I was just trying to understand why white people are enamoured by yoga and tantras, is it just sex or something else, in India we dont care them, its only the aryan hindus who love such stuff who love hitler and hitler is a hero in history books of Indian states like gujarat.sorry dont live in NYC but in redsox state.

what do you think the real tantra is?
MollyCheshire 3 years ago
tantra is like the new wonderful dress of a king who is naked.

rabbitholecentral 3 years ago
The more I watch this video the more I like him. I was put off early by his fidgeting, but now I really enjoy it. I even ordered his book. I didn't understand what he meant by Aghori at first, but now I know he doesn't mean living in a cremation grounds, but just embracing everything and viewing nothing as too profane, doing what he feels like. There's alot to be gleaned from this video.
jbrentoniv 3 years ago
hey thanks for taking the time...you are not only "hooking the energy" but relaying it well!
I especially liked what he said about 9/11
paulagloria 3 years ago
you should know that what he said about 9/11 is not the entire picture of what happened that day with him. i know this... because i was there - he was staying at my apartment in manhattan, after a kirtan at jivamukti. i was there on the rooftop of my apartment building, and he was there next to me.
there's more to the story. what you hear here is not all.
zorroAstro 3 years ago
Well, good luck on that. He said he knew no planes hit because that's what he saw inside his meditation at the time in N.J. His best friends to be cautious/take w/grains of salt nowadays. If he clears this up w/folks he may get his reputation back. He is loved though. It's easy to get off track, just dangerous when you are a spiritual leader/guide/example. Vulnerable people's lives are at stake. Just like religion- somewhere along the line someone took a left turn w/out knowing it.
ArgotMay 3 years ago
he was *not* in NJ at the time, he was in my apartment on Saint Mark's place, in Manhattan. in fact when telling his version of events, he initially mentions "that rooftop" and then changes the details. that's because it was on *my* rooftop, and his story of people "rushing to the tv" is false. i am deeply disappointed he has chosen to do this.
(and I have photographic evidence of this, by the way)

Am curious what Karoli Baba said about Kali. Did you switch or just add Kali to the Hanuman . Its clear to me Nem had become a channel for Hanuman ,many will agree and have seen. I'm not against Kali since she represent reality , specailly durring Kali Yuga--- i just wondered why you put her before Hanuman? or am i off base here? Am curious ,thats for sure. God is only one in spirit, but in India any devotee can worship God in his or her different aspects of manifestations in the universe. Everything was created by God, so we are part God.
God is invisible and visible, God is personal and impersonal. Personalities has no meaning for God

Bhagavan seems to displaying a fake identity. Other than how he presents himself of a look of a great lama, focusing on his words his knowledge seems limited there is lacking a deeper understanding and wisdom. He doesnt explain things in greater detail there is lacking concentration.
magnoliasltd 4 years ago
spiritual wisdom does not rely on intellectual understanding.
to know a mango, you need to taste the fruit, there is nothing to explain but by practice
suria49 4 years ago
All I will say to this is:
many people can profess to be spiritually awake and pretend to be spiritual teachers... when I hear Bhagavan Das chant, all i hear is a prayer and submission to God. That is all I need to to know about him... everything else is just fodder for human drama.

Because the man is older than dirt. Besides all those drugs he did in the 60's and 70's must have taken a toll on his mind. its just amusing to me he is so out of time. He is still in the 60's
hecdaca2007 3 years ago

Thank you Paula.
