  • Am I the only one who thought this was terribly put together?

It broke many cinematic rules, such as natural and artificial scene spectrum.

And the music was horrid and irritating, and predictable. The acting facially was alright, but the 'jogging' was not believable in the slightest. No 'jogger' jogs like that. It was a controlled Tarzan sprint.

    As a project I'd give this a C.

  • i had to watch this for school and it scared the shit out of me when we see the guy or whatever it was in the lighthouse. this short film is so much better than 2 hr movies i have seen before. awesome job!

  • I have to watch this for my florida virtual class, All they had on there was the jogger part, but it was suspenseful!

i wish that I played the orchestral part for this! what song did you use or makeup ?

    it's pretty damn amazing!

  • MY school used this for teaching suspenseful techniques It worked! Great movie :D

  • I can see you know how to make films . Good Job and keep it up! Two thumbs up!

  • A great short. The music was good, just a little loud, but it did build the suspense. I jumped at the part on the road when she turned and he was in her face. : ) Even though I suspected it, well done.

I kept expecting him to be somewhere in the house or the van. Overall, I liked it!!

  • well done !!

  • Thanks now I can never go running in the woods again.

  • that was awesome a very well put together short film, loved the endding. oh check my film out serch vernon harcourts the room. not quiet as high quallity as yours. but i think its not a bad 1st try at a short film.

  • Awesome!! My wife jumped she got so scared.. I think it was the sound track..

    Great job!

  • Yes yes, amazing, made me jump to be honest, a few times, intense, love it!!!

  • AWESOME!!!

  • A very intelligent and well thought out psychological thriller, you had me jumping at a few parts. Great to see that us guys from Jersey can make movies too. Can't wait to see more from you, and please subscribe to us if you'd like.

  • omg. 4:20 scariest part ever

  • Very well done! You are obviously a very competent filmmaker! I look forward to seeing more from you :D

  • Interesting and intense movie. At 67, I was surprised how high I jumped at a couple of places in the clip. I think that had it been filmed in black and white it would have captured the mood a little better. Over all, this is an A+ film.

  • This is awesome. My fond memories of LBI and climbing the lighthouse are changed forever. When I look down from the top of the lighthouse or walk in the park nearby I will always be looking the for the black ghost. 10 more years before I can show it to the kids. Keep them coming!

  • omg...its the very first time i get scared by a youtube video hahaha. very well done! 5*

  • Amazing! Scared the crap out of me... awesome editing & camera work, the intensity of the music gave me shivers- another added bonus! Keep it up, can't wait to see more- added to my faves, 5 stars!

  • awsome really cool, how llong did this take u?

  • We shot it over the course of 3 non-consecutive 6 hour days. 2 for the jogger and 1 for the night time stuff.

    Glad you liked it.

  • I loved it, jumped like five times. Well done guys! A big thumbs up from me.

  • hey nice work man, flows well, some really dynamic cuts.

I'd like to see more of a muted colour palette to emphasize intensity and to really build the isolation and paranoia. I don't think music is as polished as it could be, it sounds very midi like, in particular the violins. It becomes a little bit over atmospheric...it would be cool to perhaps introduce a hint of melody or theme like quality that audiences can either hum or connect with.

Great work, look forward to seeing more

  • Dude, Very impressive

5 stars and I'm adding this to my favorites

    :)

  • Great Job

    5 stars

  • One thing i will say is the ending was i dunno a little something. I can't put my finger on it.

    But yeah 5 stars.

  • Very twilight zone. Which is not a bad thing :D

Very suspenseful. The music was done just right.

And I'll admit you scared the crap out of me when the shadow popped up behind here after she looked away.

Just curious what did you use to make the music track i liked it alot.

  • It is an original score composed by Jeff Buccellato. He used Apple's Logic and mixed it in Soundtrack Pro.

  • I'm looking for feedback both good and bad--let me know what you think.

    Thanks!
