my 2000 740il had the same problem, same hesitation when you give it throttle. the easiest way to check if its the mass air flow sensor is to unplug the sensor and start the car and you should be able to freely rev your engine to redline
hey i wanted ask u a couple of ?? whats d name of the sensor thats on the firtss part of the intake tube on the gray part before the hose .. n can u please tell me it theplug has 2 wires a red n blue n a brown n blue? because my car doesnt have that sensor but yet i have and extra plug that looks like it migth fit there... thanx
@silveradoverde Hey, I'm sorry you weren't taught proper English in school. Anyhow, the only sensor that is part of the actual intake is the Mass Airflow Sensor. Also, there IS an extra plug that doesn't go to ANYTHING. I'll have to look later this week, but I think that is what you are talking about.
