The queen has nothing to do with what the coldstream guards play in less its a ceremonial march, the instructors for there band work hard at coming up with music to play to calm the mood while waiting for the change of the guard to be complete so that the old guard can return to the baracks for rest. And if the members of the band were counted properly then you would know that there were eacxtly 31 members of that band,counting the files which there were 5 as normal and the ranks 6,5x6=30 plus

I'm a clarinettist in this band, It is the Band of the Coldstream Guards. The video is genuine. It was recorded through the fence looking onto our parade ground at Wellington Barracks St James Park. We were rehearsing our display for a tour of Italy and Switzerland in the summer of last year. If you search for "Coldstream Guards Band Basel" you will find videos of the display at live performances. Hope that answers all your questions.
