There was a bank raid with shot guns and get away cars every Sunday when I was a kid in South London, now it never happens here. The bank was even raided twice on one weekend, Saturday failed attempt because Police car drove by, but they came back the following morning with shotguns.

It doesn't bother me, with all these muppets going on about human rights, they'll never take things too far. DNA database is a good idea. Criminals can be identified easily and so can people that are found dead or missing. ID cards will help combat illegals and under agers etc. But all the people that go on about invasion of privacy will be the very ones that complain when nothing is done to catch the terrorists that blew up london coz they help get the CCTV removed!

@chimmy62 Please enlighten me! I work in CCTV, I've just finshed a shift where I witnessed several unprovoked assaults. Ok, they weren't detered by CCTV but the people responsible were arrested. There were also a few large fights involving 10-15 people, again who were identified and arrested. Wheres the problem? People who had a good time and went home weren't affected and the people who were causing the trouble were arrested. You think this is a bad thing??
