Man, I bought an SNES (as well as an NES and other) but I think it's back to emulators. Easier, free, save states and you can toggle the music channels and graphics.
Glad to see Battle Runner from Contra III most people claim Daredevil as the best but Battle Runner I feel is a bit stronger when it comes right down to it.
You don't need to open them with the right plugin for winamp. But if you really want to, get winrar, then right-click the file and open the file with it to extract all the individual tracks.
@foamyfan231 Download Audio Overload. It can play music from just about any retro system (although for some reason it won't play USF files (N64) even though it supports them). You can also toggle the various channels for each track on each console.
Man, I love the fact that you credit your sound design and music composers! Great job, it shows and I agree with most of your selection! I am tracking some of these all-time classics as we speak!
Thanks :D Yeah it's something that bugged me when watching others clips so I thought I'd fill that gap. Make sure you check out the link in the video description if you missed it. Makes things a lot easier for you ^^
I think that's it. It's the regular boss battle tune you ususaly hear at the end of a dungeon/cave, not the one featured during the fights against the Sinistrals.
Just wondering, but when you get to the Cult Classics series, could you feature the 2nd boss theme in Lufia II: Rise of the Sinistrals? That is, if you aren't planning on using it in this series.
Well, I do consider it a classic so I am planning to use it for this series. I'm not 100% sure, but I think your request is the exact tune I had in mind (file is called Battle #2). All the battle themes are excellent in that game though, so I can switch if that's not it.
does anyone else agree with me that all mana series have kick a** drum beats. lol

I have to agree, it was way more intense and I never cared for the top down levels so I was glad to see them go.

Turtles in Time has the best music of any beat-em-up game, no question.

Why is the Lion King music so off-tune? Was it like that in the actual game?
Those background strings are giving me chills!

you picked my favorite tune from Breath of Fire and here I thought it was so obscure

Excellent choice of music,
My favorite games of these series are Megaman and Super Turrican, altough you should have used one of the begining themes in my opinion
8monoxxx 3 years ago 2
The MMX intro theme is ace but a little too short for a 1 min clip. For Turrican I much prefer these tracks though.
Alianger 3 years ago
No no , what i meant is in Super Turrican, not in MMX, you should have used either stage 1 or 3, thats what I meant :D
8monoxxx 3 years ago
Ah ok, yeah I would've but I used the lvl 1 theme (my personal fav) for the Genesis/MD medley instead ^^
Alianger 3 years ago
Oh, I know which you mean :)
The MD had a bit of better drums, and the bass sounded so unique.

This is a good presentation, and finally someone included music from Contra 3 on their list. good job
