Scary to see Breivik still has friends among Norwegians... Wake up people, immigration and multiculturalism is a fact of these times and things will not change back to the white old times. Deal with that.
this song sucks so fucking hard i can't understand how it even got through.. it doesn't even represent norway in the closest way. there is nothing norwegian about this!
@TheSjpower I don't understand you people who keep saying "there is nothing norwegian about this". When are you gonna understand that it got nothing to do with nationality. EBU say nothing about the song should say that it's norwegian, english or italian. Can you please tell what a norwegian song should be like? Song by Kurt Nilsen and written by Espen Lind (if you are Norwegian you should know who these people are) and sound like U2? This years song? Norwegian in that one? NO
Norway in a fucking nuttshell. Immigrants every fucking where! If I pain myself black the state will give me first class services but if I am a white Norwegian born they don't give a shit.
Yeah Norway is wonderful, let's get Quisling back into power
i was really shocked that this song didn't get through... maybe because she performed as second... because Poland was also a country that everybody thought it would go through
When I was a little boy my grandma told me: "don't read stupid comments!!·", it's only a joke, you should have a sense of humour!! dedicated to all of the stupid viewers that write these awful comments!!
@OmnipresentPazuzu You sir are disgusting, using that word is not acceptable on here and how would you know if it is ? have you actually been there? visited the people one by one ? no so shut your hole and enjoy the music
@OmnipresentPazuzu You obviously need to get of your ass off your computer mate and live in the real world. Black people, white people... we are all people who all have lives. Grow some you ignorant twat. People like you get pleasure out of causing conspiracy. I think very little of people like you... you're going to have to grow up some time dude... perhaps now maybe. And please, next time you right something, make sure you know what you are talking about coz your facts really don't add up.
this is just amazing,...i wonder if stl would do such a big show back here in kenya and be appreciated as much. She is much bigger in Norway than she is in Kenya!...Norway is lucky to have stl...coz i dont even know how many Norwegians understand what haba haba means! i think its about time that we start to appreciate the talent in kenya and support our artists..
@mickburke15 So what? I like it, Norway liked it enough to send it, if you're gonna use that arguement, since so many songs are in ENglish they are all British or American songs.
@spendyftw : NOOOOO THAT'S REALLY FALSE. SHE PRESENTED YOUR COUNTRY VERY WELL;)) I very love that music. I think that was amazing. Congrat Stella, from Hungary!!!!
All this debate about it not being Norwegian? I don't understand. Music doesn't have boundaries or borders. its influences is in all cultures which influence each other. Its like a subtle racism, to ghettoise art. Trying to 'border' music to cultural exclusivity would be like trying to walk ten feet with water in a sieve and have some left when you've got to the end.
@mickburke15 Well It's not a question actually.. I am just saying SO WHAT!?
I mean this song was goood.. my opinion and it doesn't have to be typically norwegian to send a good song,, she lives in Norway right. So! i thinks it's awesome that Norway has sent a song like this... norway and africa are sharing cultures in this way..
@mickburke15 hahaha and what?! eurovision is for SONGS and not for present ONLY the national elements, the song, for me, was one of the best that year with albania, bulgaria and macedonia. GREETINGS FROM REPUBLIC OF MACEDONIA
sorry what happend in your coutnry in latley fucking brevik love you norway its bad taht you even tkae it to the final. log live the kingdom of the scandivia.
I voted for this song, but in my opinion the reason I think it didn't get through is because it's simply not Norweigian,it's African more than anything. It'd be like an act from Azerbaijan playing the tin whistle and the flute,it just doesn't appeal to some people.
To everyone who complains about this not beeing norwegian... Can you please tell what was very Azerbaijian about their winning song? The songwriters wasn't even from Azerbaijan... I love you Stella Mwangi and this is one of our best entries ever! Proud that my country sent Stella to ESC ;)
@mariussober Yeah, and there's the fact that a crap ton sing in ENGLISH even though they're not from English speaking countries. Basically what it's about is people not accepting the fact that other cultures are part of Norway. This is about people from certain countries. None of the songs in Eurovision are really true to the traditional music. It's all based on American pop music. This is about the fact that she isn't white and the music has African influence. Black Norwegians are NORWEGIANS.
this song is terrible. Even though Rybak sang in english he still had major influences from Norway in both the music and the dancing in his performance. This has no trace of norwegian anything anywhere, PLUS her mastery of the english langauge is very poor, she can sing in whatever langauge she wants, but those lyrics. "when I's a little girl my gramma tol' me dat I could be just anything that I wanted too" I'm black and that cracks me up and shames me at the same time everytime I hear it LOL
@Eth1994 I'm from Iceland and I loved our song & was really happy we got through, but I can't tell you how sad I was that Norway didn't. It was my favorite in the first semi-final and I thought if either Norway or Iceland would go to the final, it would be Norway. I cried for weeks because there was no Stella with her Haba Haba in the final :(
Next year Finland sends "Hakuna Matata", Sweden some Mexican Mariachis, Spain Inuits from Canada and Russia some K-pop band. (Euro) vision will be very interesting the next year. No more songs like Nocturne in EV'95. Sara Tavares was and could be again a great singer that to represent Portugal, descendent of Africans, and sings in Portuguese and mix styles, where is the multiculturalism in this song singed in Swahili (and English to understand something? This song represents her, not Norway.
very nice song every time when i hear it i say there is funny things in this world - sry that it doesnt went to the final ...greetings from bulgaria and norway keep sending good songs
@sydneymassive She was born and raised in Kenya until she was 4, but has been living in Norway ever since, and she considers herself being Kenyan/Norwegian. Norway loves her, and I do too (from Iceland) :D
@sydneymassive why do you care that much? I see that you are from Australia so I don't get your fucking problem? Just accept the fact that apparently Norway totally lover her or else she wouldn't be there. Just mind your own australian bussiness.
Ohyeah, don't forget it's a SONG contest, its not because a black girl represented Norway with an african song that Norway's culture has now changed. Chill your balls or tits and get over it.
Anyone who says that she was a poor choice to represent Norway at Eurovision is very wrong because of those who participated there, she, the girl from Spain and Eric Saade are entering the Billboard list in usa
I love the fact that she thanked her fellow Norwegians for their support. I don't remember when any other ESC partcipant has done the same during their performance. Obviously, plenty of reasons for being grateful to Norway. Heia Norge! Stolt av deg, Stella!
